I noticed the one time towards the middle/end of opening statements the camera panned on Jose and he looked very worried, not his usual confident and smug self, and his right hand was moving back and forth a mile-a-minute. Cheney Mason did nothing in that clip but keep his head hanging down- and I mean hanging. Can't wait for them to explain everything so we will all understand and vote Casey MOTY! (apologize if this has already been said- I just got here)

Nah! They were just biding their time getting their exclusives and kissing dt butt so they could get sound bites, remember sa is not talking about anything. As soon as case is laid out their allegiances changed because now the full truth will be out in a national stage. I n ew this would probably happen. imo

Ugh! I have been staying out of the forum today so that I can concentrate on what is going on. While I understand that people need to eat, I really wish that we could have just continued. JB has had enough time to prepare and after the state's opening statement, I can't imagine what he is going to be able to say.

IS is saying that the jurors saw Caylee's skull side by side with her picture. The jury has monitors at each chair. They were showing the pictures on the monitors.

My theory is Baez supposed first minute bombshell will be about as deep as he went in voire dire - "Have you ever had something so bad happen you couldnt tell anyone?"...and THAT'S IT....one thing I doubt he'll EVER say in that courtroom "My client is innocent." He can say "....you must find her innocent (under certain circumstances)" but by law he CANNOT perjure himself - HE is under oath too and cannot ethically state as fact something he knows to not be true, so mark my words, he'll never say definitively "she's innocent", IMO.

Can you imagine when it's actually her peers up there telling her secrets? All those lies. The tangled web told to each on different days with different accounts.
It's one thing to have Ms. Linda do it- it's quite another to have all her 'friends', 'lovers', and 'acquaintances' look her in the eyes and expose her pathetic accuse for a life.

Oh, I agree, the small bit I did get to watch it looks like she is going with the "real" nanny - my theory and socal's can be read in the defense theory thread. Truly mad if that is the case, one of the few things I've called and got right if that turns out to be so. I am stunned and still half picking myself up off the floor right now, but since reading Lolamoon's comments about the constant head shaking....I agree that there is NO WAY NOW that the defense is going to suggest this was an accident that she was afraid to face. If they did, she'd be shaking her head through that! She's clearly indicating that she is not responsible for ANYTHING.

My 22 year old daughter and I had that conversation. I look at her and think could I think that of her if she had a child and were in this situation? What would I believe? My heart would tell me one thing, but my head would tell me another. However, I truly believe I would not be actively LYING to defend her, as the A's have done.

I'm still blown away by ICA nodding yes as LDB was saying the only reason for the duct tape was to end that childs life.

Question for my WS friends: They always talk about no photo of the heart residue, but IS keeps showing as does NG a photo with a heart on duct tape with measuring instruments surrounding it. Can someone 'splain to me please this discrepancy? TIA!

Totally agree. I don't think there is anyway Jose and Chaney will get their client to admit to accidental death.
