The officer should have said it's possible there was no dead baby in the backyard, so that kinda messes up your theory doesn't it?

It`s the decomposing body in Caseys trunk that they have a problem with. They can`t suggest that the dog hit correctly in back yard but not in trunk.

WFTV Bill Schaeffer just said that Baez made a huge error by making a big deal out of the back yard . Big problem in that he said Caylee drowned there and thus he made a big error. As far as the car that he to use his term "stepped in it" because when he kept perusing the Deputy that gave the Deputy the opportunity to say (about the car) I smelled it myself as clear as day I know what I smelled. He said Baez was doing OK on Cross until he didn't know when to stop and the Deputy left no doubt about what he felt was in the car.

Where are you finding Bill Sheaffer's comments?

Baez was trying to be snarky about the deputy's statement about smelling the stink in the car himself.

But once Baez said that uneccessary jab, the witness was then able to make a few important further points. Baez is now going backwards, imo.

I always feel a bit sorry for the thwarted attorney, Bill Slabaugh. Whenever they have a "big, bad" sidebar with all the DT, he gets stuck babysitting. ICA then proceeds to bend his ear off since she is quite huffy with the rest of the team for not a) including her in the sidebar - after all, Amy H got one! And b) not following the defense procedure just as she has laid it out for them - after all, she IS a paralegal in training, you know!

Nor did she even try to fake a tear when they showed the pictures of little Caylee's play house in the backyard. If it were my baby, that would jar a sentimental feeling and grief. Casey has no emotion; not even a flinch or the raise of an eyebrow. She was so riveted when SHE was on video but now she just watches in her zombie state. Interesting.

Compare that to Cindy who broke down even talking about Caylee's doll.
