Dr. Mike smelled decomp too!

There is quite a long list of people who all agree on the stinky trunk smell. I'll bet the jury is convinced by now that there was a body in Casey's car. JB has a tough road to hoe.

Also, according to Jim Lichtenstein (tweet), Mr. Rickenbach gets the tallest witness award, standing about 6'5".

PLEASE review this forum thoroughly before posting today:

:tos: Here they are!

PLEASE avoid posts that are:

- bashing the defendant's looks or grooming, in words or through visual images

- using derogatory or demeaning terms to refer to players in this case

- snarky to fellow WSers

- otherwise sending the thread off-topic.

Posters who continue to ignore the TOS or the Rules of Etiquette will find themselves on a Time Out.

If you come across a post that violates TOS or the Rules of Etiquette, or that is clearly taking the thread off-topic, the appropriate response is to hit the red triangle "Alert" button, leave a message for our mods, and move on. Please do not quote the offending post or comment upon it in any way. The mods are equipped with brooms and light sabers and will do everything in their power to make sure that WS continues to be the premier true-crime forum on the Web.

Thank you to the many posters who have helped the mods by alerting on questionable posts these last days.

Bump :seeya:

I'm going to try to clarify a few things so hopefully we are a little clearer about what is okay to post in this thread and what is to be saved for Sidebar. Hope this helps. :)

Re: posting Tweets - Previously we have requested that all tweets be restricted from this thread and posted in the Twitter thread. Posting single tweets from anyone inside the courroom that can shed light on what we are unable to see via our monitors are fine to post here. (note: repetitive, multiple posts of the same tweet will be removed at mod discretion so they do not clog up the thread.) Most all of these will be from MSM reporters - I really can't think of any exceptions off of the top of my head. If they can tell us how jurors are reacting, that is huge, relevant info and we need to see it here. I ask that those of you who do post tweets still include them in the Twitter thread because we have many members who log in for a quick update and depend solely on that thread.

Re: posting about the demeanor of the defendant or witnesses -
This is the deal:
It is perfectly fine to post FACTS & OBSERVATIONS about their demeanor. (e.g., Casey is emotionless; Casey is giggling while listening to this testimony, etc...)

It is the "Casey's blouse is so low cut she must be trying to get the attention of Juror #11, the George Clooney look-a-like"; "eyebrows and hair" ('nuff said :aktion1:). Bottom line, if it doesn't add anything to understanding what is going on during TRIAL, then save these comments and post them in the Sidebar. Express those sentiments there. (Remember! TOS and Rules of Etiquette still apply in Sidebar: no namecalling, bashing and derogatory remarks simply intended to be snarky.)

Okay, I hope that helps clarify a few things.

Another approach for sidebar by JB. Still trying to fight that there was a dead body in the damn car. :banghead:

So if JB didn't, in depo, ask Dr. Mike whether he smelled decomp...who's fault is that?

ETA: Are you kidding me? They won't admit his statement about the smell? Did I miss something?

Now a 'real' FBI chemist takes the stand #caseyanthony to testify about chloroform... After Baez insisted Dr Vass is not "a chemist"
by lilialuciano via twitter at 10:35 AM

He did the headspace gas chromatography test for the chloroform. AS A CHEMIST......tested for chloroform....as a chemist!!

:blowkiss: sleutherontheside

To the rescue! I can now spell chromatography! :tyou:

Oh, and yes he is a CHEMIST. :floorlaugh:

THs on IS saying they don't think JB saw this one coming....described it as a "nice little smackdown on Jose Baez".

Witness: residue of chloroform found on the specimen

Oh Look - isn't it great the Lawyers are playing so nicely in the courtroom. JB was unhappy Dr. Vass was not a chemist, so look, JA has brought him a chemist. Now they can all have a happy day.

:floorlaugh:

Question plz. How many people, technical and otherwise, does the prosecution have to bring on to testify to a foul decomposing body odor? I do believe the jury gets it if the defense does not.

It would not be unreasonable to call someone else who smelled the aroma of little Caylee. This is the little girl speaking from her grave. Lovely little bones can tell a huge story and I believe that Caylee will speak loudly!

I hope Dr. Vass gets to do something fun while he is here. I would have to have him think of Orlando only in reference to his 'inquisition'!

I'm sure Judge Perry can set up something nice for him to do!! ;)

Residue! That should eliminate any question about chloroform being in the trunk.

#CaseyAnthony What was result? Residue of chloroform on stained swatch. Five or six jurors noting this.
by bobkealing via twitter at 10:35 AM

#CaseyAnthony We may soon hear from the FBI agent on the stand, that the cans "smelled like death." Words the defense does NOT want spoken.

FBI witness says "residues of chloroform were I'd'd on that specimen in #caseyanthony
by abcashleigh via twitter at 10:37 AM

Rickenback explains that residues of chloroform id'd on tire cover #CaseyAnthony
by oscaseyanthony via twitter at 10:38 AM

Hey how come the Jedge didn't allow JA to ask about the smell? If Jose can ask every witness if they were at the Anthony pool on the 16th?

Q44 is a piece of fabric the spare tire cover , chloroform was identifed on it
