I am listening and watching Dr. Spitz's testimony now and when he's holding that skull I wonder why JA didn't say let's just put duct tape on this skull and see if there's glue residue?

I think he was told what the defense wanted to prove and he did what he did to get paid. It is obivious he had not seen all the pictures as he stated to JA. I thought JA was very professional in his questioning of Dr. Spitz and just laid out very respectfully the ridiculousness of his implications..

ThinkTank, Can you possibly capture the discussions between Jeff and WS where Jeff was asking "who" cut the duct tape and how it was applied. I'm looking for the part where WS said "SHE may or SHE might have cut the tape ..." Jeff didn't stop him for an explanation unfortunately or maybe it was calculated to use during rebuttal. If you can I would appreciate it. Thanks.

oh man! that was sheer torture having to listen to that man again!!!!

Part 7

Ashton - why isn't duct tape, under your theory, still stuck to bone?
Spitz - it is not stuck to the bone
Ashton - why isn't it?
Spitz - intervention of water, water will remove stickiness of glue, so why not?
Ashton - so if this person removed the skull, attached mandible to it, and put 3 pieces duct tape on it, then set it back where it was, is that your theory?
Spitz - or take with them and then bring it back to where it was

(7:27 minute mark)
Spitz - or take it to where he or she wants to put the duct tape and then bring it back and put it back in the place

Ashton - then why is the hair the only thing stuck to the tape?
Spitz - hair is stuck to the tape
Ashton - but you said tape put on after skull removed, so how hair stuck to tape? Spitz - term stuck to the tape is not applicable here, not sure tape really still in a condition that it enables stickiness, tape preserved the stickiness through this entire ordeal, heat, water, takes away stickiness
Ashton - for purposes of our discussion recall from autopsy report - Dr Utz had to cut the hair to remove the tape, hair was stuck to the tape

This Buenoano chick sounds much worse than KC!

She was nearly twice Miss A's age by the time she was arrested. Given enough time there are folks who believe this defendant would have continued literally destroying lives...

and to date she has succeeded in at the very least emotionally, socially and/or financially damaging or even destroying anyone who has given her the opportunity....

(Stompin' foot) Dammit! Why are the best explosive moments when I'm out of pocket?! I had to leave for work this morning literally moments before Baez was hammered by His Honor Judge Belvin Perry. I was able to listen via iPhone in my car, thank God. But I haven't been able to get online to either watch it or share with my WS family. Of course, no one at my work shares my obsession. (What the heck is wrong with these people, anyway?)

Anyway, I know I'm extremely late to the party, but WTH? No, I mean really... WTH?! Baez blatantly breaks the rules - again, defies HHJP's order and then... and THEN has the ginormous testicles to LIE to the Court and then try to blame his own witness. As if that's not enough, he went for the State as well. Good God! Oh and then, yeah... it just keeps getting better and better, he vigorously disagreed with the good Judge. He doesn't have enough basic common sense to just say, 'Yes, Sir' to the honorable Judge and slink off to his seat with his tail between his legs. Noooo... no sir, he he becomes defiant. :thud:I simply could not believe it! My eyes were bulging out and I was trembling as I was listening to His Honor. Baez's arrogance is off flippin' the charts!

Whew... I've been busting at the seams all day to post that and come to read everyone's reaction. I'm off to watch the re-runs and read the trial thread. I can't wait to read your reactions to all this. :seeya:

I think that this trial will become a major learning video for pre-law classes and JB will go down in history as the ‘bad example”.

But, no I do not think he realizes it because none of the other threats have amounted to anything so he thinks he is bulletproof. His cocky attitude and eye rolling says it all.

Add to that his interrupting the judge and not requesting to be heard. Then of course there is his outright arguing with the judge. Oh and texting while the judge is speaking directly at him.

Huge thank you. I'm off to watch on my MBP instead of this iPad. Thank Heavens my ballgame was cancelled due to thunder and lightning storms.

Spitz - some hair probably there and some hair not there - some she cut hair some not cut
[Spitz is referring to the Medical Examiner here, Dr. G as "she".]
Ashton told him that ME Dr. Utz had to cut Caylee's hair to remove the tape because the hair was stuck to the tape.

I also realize when Dr. Spitz is defining manipulation he means someone picked up the skull and hair and carried it to the coroners office for the picture there. Makes sense to me but not for the nefarious reason the defense wants us to believe.

Also if you notice Dr Spitz's body language he does look down when he's fudging and his ears perked up when JA told him the length of the tape and how many pieces total but you can tell he still thinks there are only 3 pieces and one of those 3 pieces were found away from the body

.IMO- He did not get all the information from the defense to truly cover his butt in his testimony. I suspect from years of doing this he can adapt quickly but didn't he comment to JA on his way out??? It looked like a positive interaction. I could be wrong. It's at the end of the video below.

I love those Magpie blog posts! She keeps a good eye on the jury and it seems they don't look at Casey unless there is a moment where they want to gauge her reaction to something. They don't react to Baez's niceties. They point out to eachother when Casey is laughing inappropriately (like the 'pig in a blanket' reference). They were more involved and interested in the State witnesses. This is all VERY telling, IMO (and hers!)

I also wanted to point out the duct tape on the arm experiment is about as useful as the decomposing pig in the trunk for 10 days experiment. If you rip off a band aid right after you put it on, usually no residue will remain, but if you leave a band aid on for days (shower in it, sleep in it, etc) and let it fall off on it's own, there is always some reside left behind on the skin. If someone put the duct tape on the skull and left it there, there would have been SOME residue left on it. The reason there is no residue left is because it was on the actual skin and soft tissue and that stuff decomposed!

Actually there are a few fans of Lenny besides me on here....Where are you?

Please don't throw tomatoes at me.....

I have some thoughts about LP. Number 1 is the reason that he bailed her out. I rationalized it was for the media exposure. And it most likely was, in part. By in part I mean he was part of a bigger plan to big this case to noteriety and national attention. I could continue with my theory but I find most people just look at me in a stange way if I do.

start watching about the 19:08 mark.

sooo sorry guys that was the wrong video this is it..

Do you guys think JB understands how much trouble he's in???

No, but I think since this judge is a teaching judge - he will find out.

I also wonder if ICA understands how much in peril her life is in?

Yep and leave it on for several days and the skin comes off with it when tape pulled off...personal experience...don't ask..

O/T (sorry) Just a quick shout out to all our Canadian WSers - thanks for taking care of my boys this week - they performed their rentry burn and have reentered US orbit. A few more hours to splash down, but they sure enjoy being aliens in Canada - largely because of your fine hospitality.

eta - just a fishing trip - no bruins involved (ack!)

Oh Boy, don't be flinching mentioning the Bruins - the best team won (I'm a Vancouverite) and you have no idea of the shame this city feels at the post game riot. So much so the people are working to identify the primary rioters and turn them in. Those of us who watched it on the news felt on horror and anger at the rioters, those who were there said it was surreal and they could not believe what they were seeing.
Somewhere we have gone sideways with our youth and respect for the laws which are there to protect us. What is in the minds of a person who stands and taunts a cop in full riot gear as they are being told to "Disperse and fall back" and "Clear the area now". I can't even comprehend it.

Sorry for the O/T Mods - you cannot imagine the shame people who live here feel.
