Exactly what Baez is hoping the jury comes away with. He's hoping the jurors are thinking exactly like you right now.

I was watching this morning's session via CNN Live. At the end of this morning's session, Lee had gotton off the stand and Baez was patting him on the back and the picture froze. Was there anything more on other feeds? I am wondering if Lee looked at Casey on his way out.......

No, and Casey turned towards the monitor with her head down, not looking at him either.

I can understand LA crying and being hurt and angry. A narcissistic mother, a narcissistic sister both running the family, and LA being treated as though he's not important and the pregnancy not being talked about (not acknowledging the truth about things). I have a similar dynamic in my family, me being the ignored and unimportant one. I get where he's coming from!

They just showed George and Cindy watching Lee crying like that and they weren't crying (that I could tell). I'd be bawling my eyes out if my child was up there like that!

We just got smacked between the eyes with the whole "Flower(s) In The Attic" statement. If you read that book, it was about siblings locked in an Attic by their selfish mother and grandmother, and the oldest brother and sister became parents to the younger, and also developed a love/incestual relationship. In the book, it wasn't just sexual -- it was love. Ohhhh boy....

I don't know. If this was a man I, as Baez, labeled a molester, after Daddy's sloppy seconds, I don't know that I'd have the sympathy to pat him on the back and share a few kind words.

And if I was Lee, labeled as a molester after Daddy's sloppy seconds, I don't think I would let him.

Of course, this all took place after the jury left the room.

No. He said he found out a few days before she gave birth but he refused to go see them in the hospital because, up until then, they left him out and tried to lie about her pregnancy to him even though he had asked.

Eh - I think it's pretty simple (others have said nearly the same...) Lee was the one who at least tried to do the right thing growing up - instead of being "rewarded" for it, he felt punished and marginalized by his lying, thieving, conniving sister. He was right when he asked if she was pregnant, but they ignored him and then they deliberately left him out, because he was right, and that would upset ICAs pretty lil applecart.

Yes, I've seen this same dynamic in other families. But didn't Cindy say she was 'more lenient with Lee' than with Casey? That is not what I've observed, and not what Lee was saying either, IMO

If JB comes out and accues LA of molesting I am going to scream - loudly. And did anyone notice that when LA got off that stand - no hug from dad or mom?

The minute ICA was born Lee was pushed to the background and most of the time an after thought I'd bet the farm on it? This is why Lee seems so distant from them because he is.

A bit of psychoanalysis: Lee broke down when he said he was mad at his mom. It's like he was revealing alot. He's afraid of his mom and it took alot to admit that in front of her and everyone. Casey broke down because she is/was also mad at her mom and that's why she killed Caylee. JMO

IMHO if there is anyone at all that KC has a smidgen of emotion for it is LA. Not that she's capable of having full emotion, she just has shown she appears to have a slight connection to him. No I don't read that as incesteous (I have an extremely close emotional relationship with my only brother, long explanation, I'll leave it at that).

I think that line of questioning was to highlight the lies and unspoken lies in that family.

The enmeshment of KC and CA is discussed at length on the psych profile threads for the family. LA lost his neice and he will lose his only sibling when all is said and done.

Until he opens his mouth and responds to SA like CA did I have to give him the benefit of the doubt. I can't imagine living in that house ugh, growing up in it? Good lord. He's got to be a huge emotional mess. JMHO.

But this was the birth of his first niece.

He wanted to know when she was delivering and apparently no one told him so he refused to go to the hospital and support Casey after delivery, is how I took it. Lee felt he wasn't part of the family. Lee took a tiny stand.

This makes sense to me. Not only that but if it were me, I would have SO many regrets now that little Caylee is gone. He possibly regrets that he didn't go to the hospital or that he wasn't given an opportunity to be more supportive.

(Disclaimer: I have been known to project my own pollyann-ish, "everyone is basically good" ideals on people who don't deserve them!)

I am totally confused. Didn't Cindy say they sat George down and told him about Casey's pregnancy and then they called Lee and everyone rejoiced? (basically) And there is video of Cindy talking about her and ICA decorating the nursey. Where the heck was Lee then? Did they lock him out of the room??? I don't get this whole thing.
