This may sound crazy but I actually get LA breaking down.

He cannot tell the whole truth about why though. B/c the way I see it looking in at that family is that LA always tried to do the right thing, tried to make his parents happy and proud. But even with that he got overlooked, no attention, no fawning over. KC comes along and is the princess of the family. She tells lies, steals, is not compliant & creates problems but SHE ends up getting all the attention, all the fawning over, etc. Oh yeah, LA has years of resentment, hurt and anger built up. Problem is he's has been trained to go along and do what the rents tell him to do to protect KC. It would be a miracle if he were able to break the cycle now.

Just MOO

BUT....don't forget that LA was really sick for some time when he was younger and he was the one getting all the attention. maybe ICA started demanding the attention then????

Seems like pretty classic sibling rivalry and jealously to me.

What's missing, here? Hmmmmm ......... an Applause Sign in the gallery and 'Canned Laughter.' That's what most "Shows" have, right? jmo

I think LA crying blows a hole in the molestation idea. I also hate how JB patted him on the back- it makes my very own hinky meter go haywire since JB is accusing him of attempted molestation, why would LA be OK with JB on any level?
I think it just shows that LA can be added to the list of people in the vortex of ICA's lies.
JB is trying to show that CA was well aware of the pregnancy, which I think is a stupid point to hammer. It does not seem to rise to the level of dysfunction that they would be in denial about a 19 year old being pregnant.

I don't see what relevance any of this has on the case. Who cares if mommy dearest didn't tell Lee about the pregnancy? What does that have to do with Caylee being murdered? Hellllooooooooo?

It makes sense and explains a lot to those of us who wonder where the hell Lee has been if this family is so "united".

But I agree, has nothing to do with Caylee's murder.

So *THIS* is what ICA looks like when she is REALLY crying. :maddening:

Notice the dark red circles around her entire eyes, total change in facial features, etc.

Egads. Almost as scary as her crazy losing my temper video from the jail.

SA trying to protect LA, I hope he sees that.

Is that because of all the objections? I hope he can see that also. I think when it comes down to it he may not admitt any type of molestation but I think he may imply somthing to the extent. I think the entire family will lie for her even if it makes themself the bad guy.

Does anyone know if the defense only communication with the witness.. specifally the family is the depositions.. do they have a chance to meet with the witnesses days before they are called to coach them what to say?

It seems to me that the Anthony's are very very smart at not being honest or someone is basically writing a script for them to follow.

I think his tears were real.I think looking back he wishes he would have went..I'm sure he never thought Caylee would be murdered before she even turned 3
MOO

All they need is to finish the day w/GA and some crying. This is the craziest trial EVER! Emphasis on CRAZY

LA knows what JB is leading up to -

This family has made a bargain with the devil (Baez) to save ICA's miserable life.

They will go willingly under the bus, and they know they will not be prosecuted at this point.

It hurts them to go under the bus, hence the tears, but they are willing to do it for her.

Poor Caylee.

It's as if the A's are like "Well, she's gone. Can't change it now. Now our mission is to save Casey".

And if I was doing the Pros questioning, it would start like this:

Mr. Anthony, you described feeling hurt and left out because your sister and mother lied to you to hide your sister's pregnancy. Is that correct?

LA: Yes.

Do you feel that hiding a pregnancy is a big thing to hide/cover up?

LA: Yes.

So you were hurt that your mother and sister lied to cover up something big?
JB: Objection
HHJP: Sustained.

No further questions.

Love it!

How about

"would you say they conspired to hide the truth from others?"

"did Cindy and ICA continue to hide the truth after the evidence was clear?"

If I was the prosecution, I wouldn't even go there. This has nothing to do with Caylee's murder. So what he wasn't told? Big freakin deal. And all the waaaaaaaaaa. Who the heck cares?

Sorry not directed at you but the defense . It's so stupid, imo

LA punished by CA for telling the truth is why I think he was angry that family lives in oppositeville

I agree. That was just so strange to me.

I can't imagine crying all that many years later about being frozen out of my sisters pregnancy unless there were...unnatural feelings there. But that's just my take and perhaps Lee is just emotionally immature, or something deeper is going on. Blah.

We'll see what Lee says this afternoon.

Could be that Lee has spent a lifetime feeling resentful of playing second fiddle to Casey in Cindy's eyes. I've seen this dynamic in my sister's family: older brother is awkward even geeky and morose, younger sister highly narcissistic and clearly the favored child. Very eerie similarities in the personalities too.

This makes sense. It is often the troublesome child in a family that gets all the attention, while the one who is trying to be good gets ignored.

I guess JB will say in closing that he didn't ask Lee about the abuse because it was too unspeakable and too hard on the family and ICA wouldn't let him put LA through that but believe it, anyway? WTF?

If I believed that someone molested a person I would not be patting that molester on the back as he left the witness stand..

I am totally confused. Didn't Cindy say they sat George down and told him about Casey's pregnancy and then they called Lee and everyone rejoiced? (basically) And there is video of Cindy talking about her and ICA decorating the nursey. Where the heck was Lee then? Did they lock him out of the room??? I don't get this whole thing.
Including Mallory...who IIRC wasn't dating Lee at the time.

"These ugly secrets will come out at this trial." - JB

I'm beginning to think he wasn't kidding. JMO

For me, the context in which Lee did this is everything. If he were in therapy, and acted like that, no problem. I can understand him having feelings about this supposed exclusion, and even connecting those feelings to the way he was treated his whole life.

But this is the trial over the murder of his little niece, a niece who he has never shown much grief over. And to use that as the stage to get the focus on him, if his responses were not coached by the DT, would be extremely distasteful.

I also find his response way out of proportion. Some upset, maybe. But the full on crying? It just sets off my instincts that something is really off. Assuming he's not acting, of course.

JMO.

I'd have to disagree. I moved away from my family many years ago and often now feel left out of things when it comes to the rest of my family and I get very emotional about it. For example, my sister had a milestone birthday and apparently had a huge party with the rest of my family who live in my hometown (where I moved from) and no one thought to invite me. I found out AFTER the fact when looking at all the pics on FB. I was very hurt then and still am to this day that no one thought to invite me. And no "unnatural" feelings are there with us.

I think some people can hold grudges and feel slighted MANY years later about many things even if they seem trivial to others. Some people are stronger than others when it comes to that stuff and others are big babies like me. LOL I just feel 'forgotten' a lot now that I moved and that hurts. JMO
