I have to admit I'll be disappointed if ICA does not take the stand.

JB promised a big reveal with his opening statement. He has yet to deliver on his promise. All I know is, he darn well better have his best witness saved for last!

I haven't posted about this case before, I'd stepped away from it shortly after Caylee's remains were found, and only started paying attention again when the trial began.

I think the defense team blew it sky high with the "dog testimony." The deaths of the mother/daughter dogs within such a short time span caught my attention, which made me think of the "sleepy Yorkies."

At this point, I think it's quite possible that ICA was experimenting on the "sleepy dogs" - how much chloroform, or whatever, could she give them to knock them out without straight-up killing them? She miscalculated when she attempted to knock out poor little Caylee. Taped her mouth shut, knocked her out with the chloroform, laid the cloth with chloroform over Caylee's face once she was unconscious, and left her there. The poor baby vomited, is asphyxiated, and the vomit leaks from her nose. ICA finds her, realizes that moving her makes the vomit leak more copiously, ripped off a new piece of duct tape and slapped it over her nasal airway.

Up until today, I thought there was a possibility, however remote, that little Caylee DID drown, and ICA herself disposed of her remains. Not anymore, not after the doggy testimony!

I apologize if this is too graphic, but I just thought I'd share where MY mind went with this today.

I don't think Casey will take the stand. She is used to other people fighting her battles for her. I do wonder though with HHJP saying it's her decision whether or not she gets up there. I just can't see her opening herself to the SA like that. But who knows. I NEVER thought we'd hear about the family pets, so to me, the defense is just boldy going where stupidity has never gone before, and that means they just might put her up there on the stand. We'll see soon!

So does this mean they need to do an autopsy on those last 2 dogs for chloroform asphyxiation? Sorry....but I would not have put it past her to "test" the potency.

Oh me neither - if she doesn't value the life of a child she doesn't value the life of a dog. I totally think she tested it on them, and possible her friend Amy who "passed out" and woke up in different pants.

I think there is a whole lot of unusual stuff in Casey's past but Cindy won't ever tell.

Am I the only person who has mixed emotions about Casey testifying? I want her to, but she is such an effective liar, and I don't want her planting the least hint of reasonable doubt into the minds of these jurors. Especially the all important Juror#4.

When she spoke in court yesterday, I was really taken aback. And I really don't know why. I believe wholeheartedly that Casey Anthony is 100% guilty (and have for 3 years), but when she spoke yesterday, she didn't sound like I thought she "should". She didn't sound like how I thought a murderous mother would sound if that makes sense. She sounded a little more humanized to me, and I don't want the jury to feel that way too.

Agreed. Within the past few days, I heard one of the news commentators state that ICA was very well spoken and doesn't quite sound or come across verbally as the public believes her to be.

Can anyone assist me in remember which commentator said this?

She sure did. She also testified that it was her opinion that the duct tape held the mandible to the skull which would have been disarticulated, iirc.

It was also stated that it could have been the plant growth that held it.

Now BS is saying he does not think Casey will be testifying today after all. All of the DT left for lunch together....... JP is at the same restaurant.He thinks they would have been with their client prepping her for the stand.....

WESH is reporting right now that the DT has not left the courthouse for lunch yet. They haven't even come down from the courtroom.

Wonder if that's an indication that she'll testify?

I've seen a few posts about blown margins. A few suggestions that will hopefully be of use: we can choose not to display our signatures when we create a post or reply to a post (I believe). Second, if you see a blown margin, try reducting your screen size temporarily by pressing the control key, hold it down, and then pressing the minus key (-).
