They were not asked to determine her punishment this was not the pen phase they were supposed to determine guilt or innocence they were not doing what was asked of them.

Have you all signed the petition for Caylee's law?

What petition?

i keep thinking about ICA, she spent three years taking care of a baby, then three years in jail. She has no life experience at all.
That verdict has fed her to the wolves. :floorlaugh:

This one, as soon as I post I will sign

I'm going to try and move forward, it was so difficult to discuss this case with my co workers today. So many opinions with no facts. I just wanted to argue with them and say you have no idea what you are talking about. But the masses haven't followed like we have. They don't know the facts, they don't know much really. I just backed off and held my thoughts to myself. I will always tear up EVERY time I see pictures of that darling Angel and I will hold steadfast in my Guilty opinion and know that what goes around comes around.

I just have to say this once out loud in the hope that eventually I can let it go.

I HATE HER AND I DESPISE THE POOR JOB DONE BY THE JURY.

Think the judge will retire, too
Will we ever get some kind of closure
If you can take another tragedy - Shaniya Davis's mother was arrested today on murder. These poor babies ...

To everyone who watched on WFTV - does anyone remember what Bill Schaefer said after the closing arguments were finished? Something like the Prosecution's case was the best presentation of a circumstantial evidence case he's seen in his 30 years - how did he word that? I've tried to find a tape of it on WFTV and can't find it.

IMO as far as Mason flipping the bird to the media, he should donate $600 to a Charity in Caylees name.

heard a rumor someone else could be arrested in case- is this possible a new person of interest will start this case all over ? the rumor is not proven of course- i heard a commenter say it on tv- no link . it freaked me out. if i was taping it i would have it but i was not. anyone hear such news also? - i know a lot of lies and false info are on tv too!

one thing someone said to me today is- you know caylee did not have on shoes or socks? i said i heard that none found. then he said she was inside in someones home i bet or she would want her shoes on . she asked casey friend to help her put on shoes once- she must have loved her pretty shoe collections. then i said - caylee was smart. she went swimming a lot . she probably had a million cute swim suits. even if she climbed in pool herself i bet she would try and put on a swim suit or ask wheres my swimmy suit? she would know you do not swim in a pool or play in her street clothes or pj"s in pool. she would get her suit out of dresser i bet. i can not believe she was not charged child abuse. can anyone just not report kid missing for 31 days and not be told thats child abuse? guess so! all does not matter now- its over i guess- 12 jurors said so

I don't blame you one bit. I have often thought about how sickening this has to be for Florida tax payers. Tomorrow if she gets it out, it is just a slap in the face to OCSO as well as all of the people in Orange county. The thought of OCSO having to "escort" her anywhere makes me sick. I wish they would just let her get in her car and drive off on her merry way! "See ya, wouldn't want to be ya!~" :seeya:

:puke:

I agree. Sorry, but if you think you don't have to abide by the law, then why should you expect the law to protect you?

I never thought I was as emotionally attached to this case as I am. I read here and researched and examined with interest in crime, psychology and the law.

Yesterday showed me that I got too emotionally involved. Way too involved. It was a horrible, horrible day. One of the worst. I felt sick all day. I still feel sick. I felt depressed and still am. I tried to get my mind off it but I fell asleep remembering how I laughed at that CM blowing hard about walking out arm in arm with casey. What I joke I used to think that was. And, here it is.

When I finally began dozing off I did so with a sensation and images I never have had before. I had the sensation of Caylee being suffocated and struggling to breathe. That bolted me up.

I finally took a sleeping pill so I could sleep. I have a lot of work to do today. But, I woke right up again way too early, still so sick at heart, thinking about a murderer going free.

This feels like bad moments I have had in my career when I lost a case despite my very best efforts and facts on my side, when I went home sick and with a pit in my stomach for days. But, this is worse.

I went into the profession because justice is very important to me; right and wrong, fairness, fighting for those who do not have a voice, who lack power, all that jazz. I never went into this for the money. Yesterday I refrained from saying this was not justice because it is our system. But today I quote one of my very first law professors, Professor Binder, who stated: "The law is a wh*re."

He was right.

thank you for sharing your feelings and thoughts. i assume your an attorney. i think everyone has felt shocked no matter what they do in life. i respect your post because you know the laws better than most perhaps. yet, our heart and soul does not need a degree - we all loved caylees spirit of life.

i have posted on here, and my facebook friends are ready to block me cause i posted everyday about case- it became to the point i turned down invites and said no- i want to watch it live not on dvr. sure i could have recorded every day. i choose to watch it then! on top of posting every day of my high school r eunion i am planning out state all by myself i have done not much else. if i could i attended hearings and trial 3x. i am coming up with questions and talk silently to my own thoughts about case.

i believe yellow and black butterflys are angels, today again the most huge one passed by me- practically in front of my face- i smiled and said to myself- god bless the angels- caylee is that you??

Whew! Thought this Sidebar thread was gone. I would have been lost without all of you!

Found this in my local paper. I like writer's conclusion.....Pretty much sums it up.

Never mind that Casey Anthony made up a whole host of other stories that didn't check out.

Never mind that a forensic pathologist ruled Caylee's death a homicide.

Never mind that about the time Caylee went missing, Casey wrote in her own diary,

"I have no regrets, just a bit worried. I just want for everything to work out OK. I completely trust my own judgment and know that I made the right decision. I just hope that the end justifies the means."

I just had to give you a  littlemisslegal. My middle daughter called it her swimmy suit too.

Not sure if this has been posted, but I heard on my local news last night that the cost just for housing, transporting and feeding the jurors was around $285,000.
