Just poppin in to say hi! I'm on vaca with people who don't apparently watch HLN obsessively like me! Haven't seen FCA in the Outer Banks yet! Well, I'm off to watch Ghost Hunters apparently!!

You are near me, too.

I'm sure that off-shore accounts and dummy corporations have been set up a LONG time ago to protect everyone's money and interests.
That was done IMO with the first installment of ABC money.

I did find this interesting though that this guy called out Geraldo as trying to sweep this out from underneath him.
Sounded to me as though they were going to include GR in the interview some how?
But, Geraldo is still chomping at the bit to gets his hands on this all to himself.
Course, he has to be somewhat crafty in doing so now with the media being put on warning.

Baez may have bit the "hand that was feeding him", and, even though I don't think that GR has all that much clout, he certainly would be privy to some inside information to keep him on Baez's string for 3yrs.

The next few weeks are going to be interesting to see who starts dropping dimes on who first.

IIRC there was a Defense Trust Fund setup in the early days to take donations from investors anonymously as well as anyone who wanted to donate.

I am confident that ICA will live off a Trust and all revenue will be paid into that so that JB makes his commission and FICA can continue to claim indigency and have no tangible assets for lawsuits to go after.

That has been the game to date, let the State pay for the trial and the Fund pays for everything that they do not. IMO

Nancy apologized to her and said that wasn't what she meant. She was not rude.

One thing I will give NG credit for..she is always wonderful to her callers..never rude. I think the caller just misunderstood her comment.JMO

KC's 15 minutes are up. Maybe someone should remind these prospective interviewers that 2/3 of the nation needs to heal over this miscarriage of justice. KC will never learn her lesson unless people stop putting her in the limelight. No one should ever get paid for the death of their child. I don't care how big the producer may be it essentially comes down to rewarding KC for the death of her child. jmo

Funny, but when AT said KC said, "Where's my check".....it sounded just like something she would say. If she talks to interviewers the way she talks to her parents they may not want to interview her.

I do not understand how JB can file an appeal and then actively try to get her an interview. It's like a slap in the face to the judge in her civil case. They're using the court system to make money off of her. File an appeal to keep her from giving a deposition. Claims to the court for protective order because she is exhausted from 3 years in prison, she's out two days and they are trying to broker deals all over the place. So much for the mental facility so she can heal....Where's my check....show me the money.

How do they get away with this? I don't get it. jmo

excellent question for our professional lawyers here!

The grief excuse is getting a lot of mileage these days, isn't it? As one who has been all too familiar with grief in my lifetime, I never used it to get away with any type of inappropriate behavior. I never used it as an excuse not to be able to work or earn a living. I never once found it to be a convenience - for anything. I must have missed the all the benefits.

ITA. I have been through seven major deaths over the years and I never seemed to steal anything, loose something for 31 days , or not go to work. Maybe crying sponstaneously when I least expected it, profound sadness and missing someone so hard I knew my heart was completely broken. Grief does not change who you are when it comes to values and morals, IMO

I suppose her lawyers would say that she is anxious to tell her story publicly in order to relieve the grief and stress she is currently living under.

I don't know if it was done for any particular reason other than that it could be. What I'd like to know is why WFTV was there ready with a camera, did they receive a tip?

I agree with the poster who said it could have been a dangerous thing to do. When I watched the video it occurred to me that if a person was able to film the Casey look-a-like, someone with a rifle would have been able to shoot her.

This is what is worrying me..........among other things,lol......it would be so easy for an innocent person to be harmed or killed in this what with dressing like ICA (if that was the intent.) Too many people despise her and it is too big a risk for anyone to try to look like her in any circumstance....somebody is gonna get hurt big time I fear IMO.

It appears to have been another way to give the media the, excuse me, "happy finger". Not very professional for attorneys, since JB admitted TM was doing it as a joke. Pretty expensive joke. AF and DS seem to be staying far away from this. I'm glad to see that. At least someone has some sense. jmo

And it just shows such a total disregard for human life. These are adults...why are they not thinking about potentials risks to other people.. But you know, I am beginning to wonder if all this talk that her life is in danger is just hype put out by JB and CM. It keeps the story going, makes it a plausible reason why she is in hiding and it's a feeble attempt to illicit sympathy for KC the "victim." The sherrif's office has said on record there have been no legitimate threats. And does anybody know anyone who is so worked up over this and unstable that they might do something. I don't. I think the players in this including the A's, are all master showmen. Is there anyone of those people we beleive when they say anything anymore. I don't.

The news on her in the mainstream has died down quite a bit. She gets a minute her and there on the entertainment shows and that's about it. Even the HLN shows are covering her and other topics now. The window will close.

I think it kind of indicates that the DT was also taken by surprise with the NG verdict. Otherwise they would have had their ducks in a row and an interview lined up.
And poor Kathi B, too embarrassed about stepping in that carefully orchestrated hoax. She should not feel embarrassed though. Many folks have been fooled by the KC publicity machine. Just ask those 12 folks in Pinellas County.

If it was a planned hoax, the Fla Bar association may think he is bringing his profession into disrepute... if people complain to them.

The Fla Bar? :floorlaugh: I'm not holding my breath.

I think they are permanently out to lunch. JMO.

bbm. Speaking of, I haven't seen/heard anything from juror 3 lately which is kind of surprising. Not that I'm complaining, it's nice actually! :innocent:

True. Grief will humble a person not make them do the things that Casey did.

It brings you to your knees. I have seen mothers when their child was killed by a husband or boyfriend many times. They scream out in a cry that is animal like, they wale. They collapse, they pass out, they hyperventilate, they scream and scream. And then they want to hold their baby. They cuddle and they stroke and they kiss their child. That is a very important part of saying goodbye to a baby. Giving the mother a rocking chair and letting her hold that baby whether it be 1 hour or 10.

Nothing that Casey did remotely resembles the grief of a mother.

You know, my 3 year old grandson is more mature than these so called professionals.

ugh this guy. here's my take.
he offered a mil. the DT wanted the offer public to drive up casey's value.
thye let the guy yammer on about it to make it seem she's really in demand.
JB likes the publicity
now that there really are no other offers..JB is stringing this guy along as a plan B
casey on the other hand wants the million and figured she can just bullchit her way thru it for an easy mil. she is probably pestering JB about getting her a(ny) deal so she can have cash and be "free" it must suck still having to take orders from the DT. (hehe)
if no deal gets signed soon casey's impatience will brew and she may have to go behind JBs back and sign up for something..for extra $ she will toss him under the bus as well. JB knows this and its trying to keep her under lock and key. he knows how fickle casey is. why do u think he's so afraid of her speaking to her family?
the stress must be draining. its been how many days and no offers, media reports dying down except the ones the DT toss out, boycott still threatened, bigger news-2 deaths in a millionairs mansion, florida boy kills parents and jlo divorcing. the pressure must be on to hurry and lock something down. its getting old paying caseys bills im sure....JB is thinking he could be making his own cash if it werent for her bad juju..
btw. if the state paid JB for her defense is it ethical for him to now be her talent scout?

If someone wants to kill her or hurt her seriously, I doubt that they would let the sheriff's office know about it first.

I'm sure there are plenty of people out there who have thought about it, but maybe they are sensible enough not to carry through with it. OTOH, there were some pretty angry people in the crowds that hung around the courthouse, and the jail the night she was released. Would they be angry enough to try to sneak a gun in an area where it was swarming with cops? IDK... there are crazy people in this world. Who would have thought somebody would shoot a senator in a crowd of people in a public parking lot, killing and wounding several other people too?

I agree!
It would have been so easy for someone who didn't give a hoot about life any more to have taken her and Baez out on the night she was released. That person would have layed down the weapon and layed face down arms outstretched waiting for LE to take them away.
Just a bunch of JUNK hype to garner attenion.
And here I sit feeding into it.

You brought up some great points especially that there can always be that crazy person in the crowd.
