BBM - Reading this left me considering another possibility. We know that MS wasn't aware that CWW brought JR in on the "hit". What if he didn't want CWW to know about TS carrying a gun and was willing to sacrifice his "friend", if necessary, to accomplish his goal? I'll bet MS was one unhappy "bro" when he heard about JR. That's what happens when evil and deceitful people form an unholy alliance, no one can trust the other.

Some info on Concealed Weapons Permits in Florida.

1. There are around 1.4m issued permits in Florida...around 1 in 8 adults carry one (including me)
2. You don't need a permit to have a weapon inside your home or inside your car. If you keep one in your car then it should be in a closed container (doesn't need to be locked). So in a glove box or center console.
3. There is no open carry (visible on your waist or over your shoulder) allowed in Florida unless, as the law states, you are fishing, hunting, camping, target practicing or going to or from such activity. This means I can legally walk through old-Bonita Springs down-town with an AR-15 over my shoulder and my fishing pole in the other hand. Of course, many cops, don't seem to know this....Here's a brave/stupid guy who is exercising his rights in Florida ...I wouldn't dare do this - but I could legally.
4. The only time that you need your CWP is when you have a hidden gun on your person...In a purse...In your waistband...Under a jacket, etc. When concealed carrying you must carry your permit (the penalty for not carrying it is $10 - you can't make this stuff up)
5. A CWP in Florida allows carrying of various weapons, e.g. Guns, Knives, Batons, Tasers, Pepper Spray...Many other states cover fire-arms only.
6. A CWP in Florida eliminates the 3 day cool-off period for purchasing a fire-arm. So pick your gun, do a background-check, pay and walk out with it.

#6 is the primary reason I have a permit; I never conceal-carry...I do have a gun in my car.

When I head back from RSW airport to Bonita late at night and I know it's an empty house, I'm walking in with one in the chamber in my Glock 17 from the car.

Maybe TMI but thought you might be interested

Oh, for sure. The title is very disturbing. I was only responding to your comment re: "why did they include it in evidence" if it wasn't important to the case. None of this is evidence, and lots of it is likely to be unimportant to the case.

How about: "If it was not important why did LE bother to take a photo of it?"

Basically, the lowest person on the totem pole is assigned to take pictures, and they take pictures of literally everything that is important, might be important, is in any way unusual, is in any way messy (because they don't have time to figure out if anything important is in that mess lol), or even if they just haven't taken a photo in a while to show the pathway they were taking between photos. At the early stages of an investigation, they realize that just about anything could turn out to be important down the road, so they don't want to miss anything. E.g., what if they don't take a photo of some hamburger wrapper on the counter and it later turns out that the primary suspect went to that hamburger place just before the murder? So they take the photo. More than likely the homeowner just left a hamburger wrapper on the counter, but the officer doesn't want to take that chance.

IMHO, the labels were written by a man. All capital letters (Teresa wrote her checks in cursive). The way it is dated, date/month/year, is also common to those who have been in the military or grew up around someone who was. Given the pretty impressive gun collection from his dad, I'd wager he was in the military at some point.

Another thing I noted is the girls wrote in cursive. I would bet that was Teresa's doing. A lot of people these days in mine and Teresa's age group have strong opinions (oddly enough) about teaching cursive. Some feel it is a lost art, some feel that it is needed for a proper signature or thank-you note. I get the vibe that Teresa was more etiquette savvy than Mark.

FWIW I came out of the medical field and we always wrote things in that way on documents.

Date/month/year ..all caps

FWIW. 08JAN2016

ETA I do that in my personal hand writing also

ETA #2- the girls were home schooled by Mark. I assume that Mark assisted with learning cursive :moo:

Good for you, fldigger. This should be a lesson to all of us with C/C permits. It is easy to relax and assume safety in situations where we are accustomed to being safe.

I give up. Let's not worry about this silly title, it has no more significance than a hamburger wrapper.

AZLawyer, you have missed my point. We are discussing something that is meaningless. Who cares what you call it?

A rose is a rose... (If only lawyers were required to take poetry 101)

But, as I said, "I give up". surrender flag

(we are on the same side, let's not argue insignificant minutae)

Good idea - if the gun is drawn. Many folks feel safe with a gun in a holster. The safe range of being able to pull a gun and have it ready are 21 feet from the possible assailant.

I am also disgusted by the labeling of the tapes and I am leaning towards them not being innocent, unfortunately.
The one says mommy and daddy love making and "talk", doesn't it?
This group of people plainly make me sad.

The two little girls ARE important

It is very common to have tile throughout the house. Some will have carpet in the bedroom. This is due to it being so hot here and tiling probably keeps it cooler.
When my dogs come in from outside, they love to lay on the nice cool tile.

No matter where you live, I think carpet is a filthy floor choice. Tropical would be the worst for carpet. Bugs, mold, sand. No thank you very much

Can we assume lovemaking? Maybe it is footage from a football game? Huh!

Someone took a photo of the title. If the tape has been viewed and found to be a football game, would they have included the photo in the batches (not "evidence", in deference to AZLawyer, but batches of pictures that we are looking at on Websleuths that were taken by LE when they were investigating the Teresa Sievers murder.)

Who knows?

I am glad that the title is generating some discussion because I am hoping that Teresa's family will notice and contact the authorities. I think LE would understand their concern and divulge the content of the tapes.

Still, a child would be curious about a tape titled, "Mommy and Daddy Lovemaking", if that is all it is.

Which I am hoping.

Whonos, this is what I've been trying to say. If the picture were taken, and then later the video was viewed and found to be a football game, then YES the photo would still be included in the batches of pictures disclosed. LE is not free to omit something from disclosure just because they investigated further and found that it was not important. That's all I'm saying.:loveyou:

Was it in the safe? I hope?

Heartbreaking ...

Included amid her luggage was a paper plate her daughters used to write their mother a note.

The older daughter wrote: "I am sorry I wasn't behaving. I promise I will do better. I love you. God will guide you. The younger daughter wrote: "I am sorry for the way I was acting. I love (you and) hope you have a good trip."

Heartbreaking. Utter heartbreak. Somehow the photos get to you in a way that just reading the words don't. Seeing her walk through the airport, it personalizes her even more. Imagining her surprise which turned to terror.

While I cannot begin to comprehend how MS orchestrated what he did, to ANYONE, much less his wife and mother of his children, I cannot even fathom more deeply how he could be living in that home with their children. I hope TS haunts him day and night.

We are all so sad about this horrible crime.

I really appreciate that AZLawyer is here and contributing her expertise. Her presence, along with other professionals, elevate our discussions to more than gossip.

When I tell a friend about Websleuths, I impress them by saying that lawyers often post opinions and explanations.

Let's assume someone is inclined to videotape what one could infer is included in the video labeled "Mommy and Daddy Love Making and Talk" - HOW could someone write "Mommy and Daddy" on that? It's horrific!!! I would think your normal inclination (again assuming you're into that kind of thing) would be to write Person A Name & Person B Name and whatever description you felt fit. But UGH -Mommy and Daddy??? :maddening::puke:

I would think you would just put something like private videos or adult video or *advertiser censored* but Mommy and Daddy? Kinda odd.
