Thanks for noticing that! I too was surprised at her statement. I also question the need for disability. Many others who have gone through traumatic events continue to work. Just MOO.

She may have a very sympathetic Physician who is authorizing her continued absence from work, but Insurance companies employ RN Case Managers to scrutinize these claims for medical necessity. They can and do interview the claimant as to continued symptoms, interview the approving Physician, request second or specialist opinions, and if her condition does not meet their (strict) criteria it will not be approved. If a review is 'iffy' it is sent on to the Insurance company's Medical Officer for a determination. No Insurance company will give a claimant carte blanche for 2 years, that is just CA divulging her plans to stay off work.

I do not think mom and pop have moved already. That would have been all over the news there. Can you imagine the poor movers...it would likely be easier to move a military officer's family than get read the riot act by George and Cindy about the importance of how to neatly place the tape.[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1Fpp663HkE[/ame]

I am sure she does. They are better off without her there trying to pretend things are normal.

The only sticking point is that if they refuse to take her back because of her 'disability' without being willing to make some reasonable accommodation, they can run up against the ADA act. Since CA was in the Administrative side of the Gentiva branch, I am sure she is aware of that...

You're so right! It isn't that simple as she makes it seem, and yes I agree that this might be her plan but insurance companies don't always see the need ~ and in this case, neither do I. MOO

has anyone else heard or read about the A's renting a house close to the Hopespring but in another subdivision, and not even living in their home?

I don't know where else to ask, except this thread.

Does anyone live in the area and have any knowledge of this, one way or another? Would this, if true, have any connection to them "not having been aware" of the bank intention? Or their money was going to rent instead of mortgage payments. Rent is more expensive than mortgage in many cases.

I've seen other comments elsewhere suggesting they live in a different house now, renting from a minister, who no longer lives in the area. It was suggested the A's vehicles were visible at that house, and George had been seen mowing the lawn. How long has it been since the A's have been seen at the Hopespring house? is anyone in this forum aware of the information?

I haven't been able to read all the threads in the forum to see if this has been addressed elsewhere.

Please move if it's in an inappropriate thread.

To follow up, I found where I read the same information you are inquiring about and it was NOT found on WS, but a different forum. A particular poster is claiming to be a neighbor of the Anthonys in this rental property (she names address...I will not) and claims they moved in during the summer of 2009 but still go back and forth between their residence. It was also mentioned that Holly G lives on a cross street from this rental property...so at this point, I would chalk up this information as UNSUBSTANTIATED RUMOR BY QUESTIONABLE SOURCE

Is it just me? Or does anyone else think that the A's made a concscious decision in June or July of 09 to just let the house go? I can think of a number of reasons why they would, Caylee's memory being the most obvious. I also wonder if they just expect someone to help them out because they are who they are and have become accustomed to special treatment? Personally I think they decided to not put one more dime into the house now filled with painful memories instead of sweet ones.

I'm thinking the same thing.:)

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree... "It's all about me. The rules do not apply to me. The future be damned; whatever it takes to make me happy right now. It's all about me, me, me."

I can truly understand why they would want out of that house, I would too, considering what may have taken place there. However, what puzzles me is why they wouldn't try to sell it. They will have big credit problems now, and even sold at a loss, the damage would have been a lot less.

Maybe they have the expectation of a "solution to their money problems" on the horizon.
Just a thought of mine....doesn't make it theirs.

I'm only on page 7 of this thread but the one thing that keeps running through my mind, besides agreeing something hinky is up - is - is any part of the house considered a crime scene and would the jury or anyone want to do a tour of it during the trial? If that's the case, would it have to be preserved in any manner by the courts until and during the trial?

Maybe they just can't stand the thought of a whole nation seeing pictures of their home and garden as a murder scene again splashed over national TV when the viewers will not be at sympathetic this time.

Maybe this is an easier way for them to "escape" what they must surely know is coming down the road towards them - the trial, the protesters, a guilty plea - I can't see them staying in the house during and after that. Why not throw it away and keep your cash stashed - I can imagine them thinking that. Whatever is going on - it won't be straightforward - after all these are the Anthonys.

(blded by me)
Did a lawyer ever respond to this?

It looks like LE is done searching for evidence at the house, and I don't believe the judge would ever allow a "field trip" to the house as there is nothing that is really critical to the case to look at there.

...yet the house is the last place they saw Caylee. Yes...the memories can be painful...but they were good memories...filled with the love and joy that their granddaughter brought into their lives. This was a tremendous loss for them...they should try and wait before making a major change like this. Discarding a house will not erase the pain. JMHO

I truly hope the As went through some type of grief counseling...if not, they're just prolonging the misery and not allowing themselves the time to heal.

ETA:...and yes, they may be searching for whatever makes them happy...because they'll do anything to make the pain stop. It won't work...but they'll have to find that out for themselves. JMHO

Unless of course they suspect(or know) Caylee was actually killed there.

It may be because they owe more on the house than it is worth in this economy.
