Oh really? See Cindy's Deposition part deux, Pgs 479-481.

She got a check for $10000, $3000 of which went to BC. She claims that after taxes it came to $5000. Istn't that 5-6 mortgage payments? She also talks about Lee moving home to contribute to the household and says that her disability payments are paying the bills.

http://www.wftv.com/pdf/21310288/detail.html

George also says in his Depo that he got a "few thousand" dollars from ABC.

IIRC Lee, when asked was very vehement about the fact that he would never take any money from this situation.

and that's only what we know about! I'm telling you, imo these people would have no qualms about making money off of their grand-daughter as they seem to believe that they are 'special' and 'entitled'. Of course Cindy has an image to keep up and I believe will do everything in her power to keep it quiet. As we saw in BC's press release yesterday, nothing is ever their fault..jmo..

I had no clue that the mortgage company would pay the property taxes even though the mortgage is not paid. Where can I read up on this information?

It is added back into the funds you owe the mortgage company.
If you are in foreclosure it will be included in the bulk payment that you have to bring current to get back to current.

If you are paying your mortgage payment but letting the taxes get behind eventually the mortgage company will get a tax notice from the county, the mortgage company will then contact you and say show proof of payment or we will pay these out of an escrow account and that will effect your monthly mortgage by the following amount.

It is in your loan paperwork that they have the right to do so and hold you responsible for the monies. They can't have the county auctioning the property due to back taxes and them losing their control of the property. Just like they will insure the structure and add that to your escrow if you are not maintaining insurance and they end up with a major loss when your house burns down.

Well if Ws was his customer base, I doubt he could sell a car. However the night janitor thing makes sense. Graveyard shifts until things settle.
IMO

Wait a sec! With ALL due respect, I would have NO PROBLEM buying a car from GA if he worked at a dealership. That's a very unfair statement NTS.
I like to think that WS members are above that. :( I would just like it to be clarified that he has sought employment. Something keeps telling me not to hold my breath. :)

Patty, it really surprised me too. I guess as impatientredhead said, they are going to protect their investment, which makes sense. If they didn't, I imagine the property could be seized for non-payment of taxes eventually or if a home burned down they would be SOL as well.

The bank will prolly have a hard time selling that house. I couldn't live there. My kids would think it is haunted like the property down the street. IMO

LOL. I was not talking about him selling cars, I was talking about him doing detail work on the cars. GA has too much of a temper to sell cars. You know cleaning them up, getting them ready for sale, etc.

Believe it or not that house will sell. JMO

It's showing Paid as of now.

ETA: Never mind, that was for 2009

You are correct, 2009 is paid and that is all that is due now on the taxes.

I am just wondering on the forecloseure thing if it's something the A's are doing for something that could or may happen to them during the trial or after. I bet anything something is going to come up and the A's are preparing for it and the they are going to claim they are broke.
IMO

No need to apologize, I think most of us think this is more than a little hinkey.

I'm expecting to see a new plea and boo-hoo story up on their CMA Foundation website, 'please help us save our home'.
It seems they will try anything to avoid doing what they should be doing.

Nine months straight without a mortgage payment is a long time. How foolish they are.
When my husband was laid off from his job last November, the first place we went was to the mortgage company to alert them to our problem. The banks and mortgage companies do not want our homes or cars. Foreclosurers are at an all time high. Instead there are plenty of plans and help if you are up front with the people you owe money to. George and Cindy should have checked this out.
Instead of their crusade to turn the public's opinion in believing their daughter is innocent (That's not Caylee's body in the trunk of the car), they should have been taking care of their own personal business.
I believe they avoided making mortgage payments because they no longer want the home anyway. jmo

The 2/23/2010 date is there as that is todays date. (It will update every day)

In Florida, your tax bill comes in the mail in November and is due by March 30 of the next year. If you pay by the end of November you get a 4% discount.
If you pay by the end of December you get 3% disc
If you pay by end of January you get 2% discount
If you pay by end of February you get 1% discount
Full amount due by end of March and LATE on April 1

Most people have an escrow account that the mortgage company uses to pay the taxes on or around November 28th. If there was enough money in the escrow account on November 28th, B of A would have paid the taxes for 2009 for the A's.

Can we keep this a somewhat constructive dscussion? i know there are a lot of opinions about this situation and feel free to share yours. However when the conversation gets reducecd to name calling and petty accusations it just goes down the tubes....fast
Where this post lands on the thread is random.

Thanks folks.

You have a good point! Car detailers can make GOOD money (I mean anything would be better than nothing, right?) George is obviously good at that..slap a cap and coveralls on him and nobody is going to recognize him, unless he calls attention to himself.

Either way, Cindy was apparently a very hard worker, but from all accounts George just didn't seem to want to work anyway. IIRC, it was a point of contention with them. Easy out for him imo...

You know when all is said and done, I don't for a minute believe that they would have problems finding employment due to who they are, it's how they have behaved and handled the whole thing. People wanted to 'reach out' (oh, how I have come to despise that expression) to them and they made it impossible for many...

The economy sucks, yes absolutely, so work is hard to come by. At some point in their life George and Cindy have to accept responsibility for their own actions. They can whine and moan all they want, but THEY caused people to feel this way. For the life of me I can't understand why they can't see that! Do they really believe that 99% of the population is so misguided and they are not? Really?

Sorry, I'm veering WAY OFF topic..I just get 'so frushtrated' with these people! I wish i could muster up some sympathy for them, I just can't anymore..:snooty:..

Thanks SO MUCH Angel Who Cares!

I keep meaning to tell you that! I would never be able to find out what is going on in these cases if it wasn't for all of your hard work! I know there was a thread for you somewhere, I'll have to go find it..but I just wanted to say TY! while you were here!..:blowkiss: :bowdown::bowdown:

There is "absolutely" no way this foreclosure came about without the A's knowledge. I am wondering why the A's are willing to let go of their home so easily unless their strategy is to make themselves "lawsuit proof" should Caylee's father ever become interested in taking legal action against them. I also wonder whether that cruise ship stopped off in the Cayman Islands and if there was a casino on that ship. I pray that GA is not gambling again. I would imagine losing your house/home is one of life's most devastating events and it certainly is going to put them in the "we have nothing else to lose" category.
What's next?

Let's buy the place!! I have some evidence I want to look for....:innocent:

Mike attributed it to the "Trouble with Casey."

They told him they will do everything they can to keep it.

Guess maybe they should have made some payments instead of going on that cruise, eh?

I thought Lee was living there, helping pay the bills?

Something seems a little off here.

Can't help but to wonder how long they will continue to blame the outcome of their own poor choices on their daughter.
