SNIP There are different reports on how he killed her. I have read several times that he bashed her with the removable metal ladder on bunk beds.

What you read was speculation only by WS Posts #48-50. There's no factual evidence of anything used other than the brutal bare hands of one despicable husband.

Update -- the Motion Hearing for Document 59 citing the change to continue trial to May 19, 2019 is set for today, May 31, 2018 and I'll check for any date correction. Thanks!

Attorneys for Kenneth Manzanares filed a written motion asking that the trial date be pushed from November until May 2019. They say prosecutors do not oppose the request.

Manzanares’ attorneys say the extra time is needed to go through extensive discovery and to complete their own investigation.

At a hearing Thursday, Chief U.S. District Judge Timothy Burgess said he will consult his schedule for an exact start date in mid-May 2019 that works, but that it will likely be either Monday, May 13 or Monday, May 20, 2019.

I don't know anymore. For months I wanted to believe this was a tustle in close quarters where Kristy possible hit her head. But now, the use of only his "bare hands" causes one to think otherwise. I hope I'm wrong.

The defense attorney in a federal murder case filed a motion to limit access to the records of who has visited the defendant in prison.

The motion on behalf of Kenneth Manzanares was filed Thursday in Juneau Federal Court. It also would restrict access to any calls and correspondence with him at Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

The motion says allowing prosecutors to access the records could force the defense to choose between investigating Manzanares’s mental state at the time of the death and keeping the defense strategy confidential.

On the motion to limit access to visitation records, it's all about the mental defense strategy. Govt response is that it's not necessary to prohibit visitation records because professional visitors log (i.e., including mental health) is separate from public visitors, and not available without court order.

No date on court ruling for motion. Docs #65 (6pgs), and #69 (5 pgs) uploaded.
