Do you think the family from Connecticut will finance it forever, just to ensure that she's still receiving proper treatment in jail after the stellar defense they've paid for?
I don't know this Connecticut thing.

Is it fact or did NG say it?

Forgive me, I am now confuddled and funcoddled you also.

The Connecticut Family is paying for the services of Todd Black/Gil Cabot, not the defense, or maybe they are, or maybe not, but they do have a line registered to JB's wife.

Did NG say that? No, that was all me.

I do wonder if there's going to be a limit to that "family from Connecticut's" generosity. It strains the mind to imagine that some hyper-altruistic family saw Casey Anthony on tv and thought "that girl needs some heinous PR work done on her behalf! Let's pay for it! Let's pay for it ALL." lol. i don't know.

OK nancy G,

WHY are these people paying for anything. I assume a fiancial prize later?

Or is there a reason other than money. I can at least understand invest now to make more later

I have never felt so anti anybody (on TV) as KC, myself.

I honestly do have trouble imagining anybody having regard for her.

I have the same feelings about Casey.

A lot of people have regard for Casey, for whatever reason.

And like one of the psychiatrists said on Nancy Grace, their sympathy/regard for Casey often says more about them than it does Casey.

topically, I'm stoked for Casey's hair to be partially grey at trial.

No I'm hoping for a phil Spector look. The old one.

I'm expecting a more natural, gradual progression with the hair. First the bun migrates up a little higher and messier a la Amy Winehouse (all the better to store contraband in), then the artificial gray will be applied to denote a new 'maturity'.

For bolded part, see previous giggle.

What ever she looks looks like in court I cant wait to see her carefully coached 'emoting' everytime Caylee's name is mentioned to counteract all the publicity about her lack of emotion.
She's going to chew more scenery then Robert Deniro in 'Raging Bull'.

That's the real reason defense won't be ready for trial until late in the year. It will take that long to teach this being to emote anything resembling 'normal' reactions, much less remorseful ones.

The jacket did not fit her well at ALL and that was probably a big part of it. I have wide hips and a much narrower waist (in comparison to the hips), and the hips can sometimes keep a top from going down as far as it should, particularly when I sit down. Then the jacket shoulders go up higher than they should, plus the top underneath it sticks out along the bottom of the jacket. Also the top under the jacket simply may have been longer than the jacket to begin with. Given that that was such an unnatural look/style for her in the first place and she was, no doubt, VERY self-conscious about it, ESPECIALLY with the butt-ugly jailhouse pants, socks and shoes, it's no wonder she was constantly fidgeting with it.

Personally, I HATE wearing suit jackets, and it shows. It's just not my style and they are very uncomfortable. I don't wear suit jackets -- the jackets wear ME.

I seriously think that the suit jacket and the rest was just an outfit slapped together quickly that day. JB either actually thought his last-ditch motion would prevent casey from having to appear, or he did not want to tell an angry casey that the motion likely would be denied and/or she did not want to discuss any outfit until she absolutely had to, thus they were not prepared.
Can't you all imagine?: " I won't discuss it! I'm NOT going." "Well, casey, just in case, why don't we think about an outfit to wear for the hearing?" "No way! I won't talk about it. Period. I'm not going!" Also, I think JB did not believe he would get to have casey wear something other than prison blues, so he did not really plan.
I guarantee, casey will look much, much better at trial. She will have a nicely fitting suit or dress, etc., makeup and hair done softly. I don't think JB and company had many choices at this hearing due to jail regulations, etc. He grabbed the first thing he could get that the jail would work with and that was it. That is why the jacket did not fit well. JB knows how important appearance will be at trial.

It's the prosecution who are delaying the trial not the defence. The prosecutor stated at the last hearing that they wouldn't be ready until the end of the year 'if then'.

once defense waived speedy trial, that left the door open for the state to prepare their case more thoroughly. they have more than 100 witnesses to depose. that takes time. the state isn't delaying anything.

Nope, its the defense. All it would take to end it now is a full confession of their client. Casey herself is the reason the trial is being delayed, especially when she is the only one controlling the truth.

MDO ... it was the Prosecution that answered the Judge with "end of year, a year", etc..

I'm sure the defense doesn't mind though!!!

They have the perp - they have the goods (so we are lead to believe), so what's the hold up??

I wasn't aware the defence had waived their right to a speedy trial. Was that done at a hearing? They also
have many of the same witnesses that the prosecution has and are still waiting for overdue discovery but still seemed to be prepared to meet the judge's suggested timeline for the next hearing etc.

If KC confessed, she wouldn't be expediting the trial - there would be no need for one. That's a different issue which the defence team has no control over apart from giving advice, so they have no power to 'end it now'.

Don't know if you all have looked at the 45 pictures on this link from Casey's hearing Friday. I hadn't look at them until now. Some of them really 'tell a story' in MO. The ones that are close up and candid are creepy. There's a close up of her hands, and that one really creeps me out!
Look at #'s 32, 33, 34, I think it is , to me they're very telling. My goodness, she looks so diabolical! She almost seems to looks as if she "gets it"! and she's beginning to understand her reality and knows where she'll be spending the rest of her miserable days!
I just thought these picture were very interesting. After looking at them closely, I understand better why Jose is was so set on trying to keep her out of the courtroom and the public's eye. You can dress her up, pull her hair up, but she still looks like a monster!

I can't get over how much she was smiling, laughing and flirting. Hardly the appropriate behavior for a courtroom. Very childish. She is definitely not upset by the death of her child IMO. Also - not really important but her natural hair color looks a lot lighter than it was last summer - maybe she used to dye her hair darker?
