Sure, but they didn't see Murat with Maddie, did they? And there's still no proof he ever had her.

And those cadaver dogs picked up the scent at Maddie's own parents apartment, so none of this explains any of that.

True, but not seeing him with Madeleine means nothing.
Plus the man seen with Madeleine didn't fit Murats description. Which also means nothing as he may have been a party to what happened.
He may be completely innocent. Its all speculation, as is everything about this case.

As to the cadaver dogs. No surprise they found traces of Madeleines DNA. But If they found traces of a "dead" Madeleine I think we would have known that by now.
 
Again these ppl target Mr Murat, another diversion imho. What happened to the Paedo plastered in the newspapers as headlines before Christmas ?( sorry if this has been discussed, have been away), another someone to hound... this case is the most bizarre in the history of abduction!

I honestly do not think Murat has anything to do with the abduction , just some poor joe soap offering his help and it back-fired.
Why would anyone who has been involved in an abduction hang around the apartment, don't make sense to me.

I agree, but one thing that always is in the back of my mind is the old saying that a criminal returns to the scene of the crime. But do they return within an hour?

Ask far as him being outside smoking, that could be true...Most everyone goes outside to smoke anymore. He could have stepped outside to the sidewalk of his mothers home to smoke, and never thought a thing about it. If the McCanns thought the Tapas Bar was like dining in your garden, then Murats place would be like smoking on your front lawn.

Haven't seen anything since this article re Christian Ridout ( have you?), seems they are sticking their knives once again into Robert Murat.
I know it has been said that a murderer often returns to the scene of the crime , but surely not so soon (30 mins) it just doesn't make sense to me at all.

What concerns me is that all these people who state they have seen Murat at the scene on the night in question have connections to Gerry, they are either the Tapas friends or the women who played tennis with Gerry.

I read somewhere, Mrs Jensen and her sister were in the same daily tennis coaching group as Mr McCann. It was organised by Mark Warner, the tour operator which manages the Ocean Club complex.


"We never met Kate," Mrs Jensen said. "And we never socialised with Gerry. We just played tennis."
 
Who are these sisters and were they sober when all their sightings supposedly took place?
 
Maybe they're just trying to think back and remember any men at all that they saw, but the sisters seem to have been doing quite a lot of man watching, having drinks, and inviting a stranger to have drinks.
 
Not only did all the people who said they saw Murat have ties to the Tapas 9, they also all seem to have identified Murat well after that night...they did not pick Murat out of a police line up, but rather, said after the fact that they realized later the man was Murat.
 
If that is their story then I'd bet the farm they're lying.
How could they possibly not pick him out of a lineup yet identify him later? Makes absolutely no sense, imo.

I came across this post earlier today and you know he could have a point.
Could it be for that very reason he is still an arguido today and will remain so to prevent him from talking at this stage iof the investigation, just a thought.


When Murat was in PDL on 4 May interpreting, generally flitting around talking to everyone, do you think he became suspicious of the answers of McCanns and tapas group?
Is this why they have twisted it back onto him?
He'd have known very early on that the waiters, staff stories did not tie in with the McCann group version.

Interesting Prickle, veeeery interesting. That makes complete sense. I just don't "get" why he hasn't said anything to the authorities. I have never seen a report of him pointing a finger toward the McCanns.

Yes, it is all interesting colomom, now regarding the internet Cafe- that is very intersting!( I didn't know this)... Why would G bother sneaking off when he owns a laptop in the apartment....the more you read in to this case, the more the finger points at the Mc's. Don't you agree?
I also feel the PJ know much more than they are letting on, almost toying with K & G....until they are absolutely sure of a conviction, they are keeping quiet.



The missing bag being a big part of the evidence against them along with recorded telephone calls earlier on that point to their involvement. Cadaver dogs that earn 1,000 dollars per day because they are so accurate, smelling death scent on the clothes and car keys of the McCanns. Biologically indicative (ask your son he'll explain this term if you don't know)DNA from Maddy's spinal fluid. Gerry sneaking off to use internet cafe computers (he was followed) when he had a laptop in the appartment. Phone calls that were traced between Gerry and O'Brien leading the PJ to a barn that had embalming fluid, bloody towel and a bag in it. This is just some pieces of the puzzle that send me without a doubt that they are up to their necks in it.
The PJ are due to interview them here in a few days, talk is they might just arrest them on a European Arrest Warrant...

I thought "embalming fluid"?? I had not heard that before.

I agree and have always believed that the PJ are playing a very precise game with the McCanns. You know the saying about giving someone enough rope and they will hang themselves. I still believe that they are putting it all together and there is more to come. Only time will tell.

As far as using the internet cafe, it would make sense if he wanted to pass e-mail through an anonymous web-based system (like hotmail or yahoo) and he thought that by using a computer, other than his own, he would not be able to be traced. All computers have hard-drives that retain a huge amount of information, even deleted information. It would take some work but that information can be retrieved.

I don't have alot of faith in the last sentence above. That rumor has been going around for a looooong time. I have all the patience in the world. And I believe that the truth will come out....eventually.
