http://swtimes.com/news/special-reports/series-missing-fort-smith-man-last-seen-bar-2001
July will mark 13 years since the disappearance of Junior Lee McCormick, who was last seen at a Fort Smith bar. McCormick, 26, was reported missing by his mother, Evelyn Meisenheimer, on July 20, 2001. He was last seen July 14, 2001, walking away from Perrys Place, 3028 N. Sixth St. He has not been heard from since...
Police interviewed several people at the bar and anyone else they could find who knew McCormick, but nothing pointed investigators in any certain direction.
Most of the people that we thought maybe had some involvement in it were interviewed, and of course, they didnt have any involvement in it, Mahan said. At that point in time, there was nothing really left to go on because, obviously, we dont have a body to look at or anything like that.
Although foul play is suspected, without a body its hard to determine who, if anyone, played a part in McCormicks disappearance, Mahan said.
