''The children of a Brisbane woman who was found beaten and partially burned by a roadside in 1998 had to "mother and father themselves", says her daughter.

Police have put up a $500,000 reward to help solve the murder of Elizabeth Henry, a mother of six who was four months pregnant when she died.

The 30-year-old sex worker was last seen alive in the inner city Brisbane suburb of Fortitude Valley shortly before midnight on February 11.''

A half-million-dollar reward is now on offer to help solve the cold case of Elizabeth Henry as police re-interview witnesses and persons of interest. '

'Police said she had been violently assaulted with a blunt, heavy object and was found with major head injuries.
The clothes Ms Henry had been wearing and the handbag she had at the time have never been recovered.
Investigations indicated Ms Henry was killed at another location and moved to the gravel area before an attempt was made to burn her body.'

'But Det Sgt Johns was confident the murder would be solved, saying Queensland's homicide cold case team has reviewed the case and discovered further information, without revealing any detail.''

Absolutely devistating for the family. A discusting and disturbing way of ending a persons life. A case of commiting a crime, finding a rural area (samford), and getting rid of any evidence, although it was not done well if someone spotted her the next morning. They need to interview all her clients from the past as well as ex boyfriends.

''Liz was last seen alive in the inner Brisbane suburb of Fortitude Valley shortly before midnight on February 11. She was wearing a dark denim mini skirt and a shirt, carrying a small black handbag.

About dawn on February 12 her naked body was found lying face down at a gravel reserve at Samford, 20 kilometres from the CBD. She had been beaten to death with a blunt object, and there had been an attempt to incinerate her body. ''

''She had recently and reluctantly returned to sex work.
Investigators would later rule out any link to the killing of two other Fortitude Valley sex workers — Julie McColl and Jasmin Crathen — by paramedic Francis Fahey.''

"This is about generations of people not having answers, and they deserve answers.''
