Man arrested after woman’s body found on rural NSW property​


25th October, 2024

“Emergency services were called to the Henry St property in Gunnedah, north-central NSW, about 8.20am Friday following reports of a concern for welfare.

On arrival, police located the body of a woman, believed to be in her 50s.

A 29-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Gunnedah Police Station where he is assisting police.

Police believe, based on initial enquiries, the man and the woman are known to each other.”

A 29-year-old man was arrested this morning after the woman's body was found at a G'Day Parks Caravan Park on Henry Street in Gunnedah, in the state's central north, at 8.20am today.”



 

Man charged with domestic violence murder of his mother after body located in Gunnedah caravan park​


“A man accused of murdering his mother at a caravan park in northern New South Wales has faced court for the first time.

Callan Davidson, 29, has been charged with domestic violence-related murder after the body of his mother, Cheryl Davidson, was located in Gunnedah yesterday.

The court heard the accused has mental health issues that need to be assessed while he remains in custody.”

“A man who has been charged over the murder of his mother after her body was found at a rural caravan park has been pictured for the first time.

Callan Davidson, 29, was charged with murder on Friday after emergency services were called to a property on Henry Street, in Gunnedah, in north-central NSW, around 8.20am.

He refused to appear before Parramatta Local Court on Saturday and his matter has since been adjourned to the Tamworth Local Court on Monday.

A court order is understood to have been made to inform NSW Justice Health that Davidson should be assessed on mental health grounds, The Daily Telegraph reports.”
