Mannum woman Jody Meyers missing for 10 days
"THE partner of a Mannum woman missing for almost two weeks has told their son that mum has gone shopping and would be “back later”.

Family last night held fears for the welfare of Jody Meyers, 20, who disappeared 11 days ago, leaving behind her two-year-old son.

Police yesterday issued a public appeal for information leading to the whereabouts of Ms Meyers who they say was last seen at a Burdett address about 7.30pm on August 26.

A text messasge sent from Ms Meyers phone two days later said that she had left her partner Neil Archer, was with friends and would contact them soon on a different number."

THE partner of missing Mannum woman Jody Meyers says police have explicitly accused him of killing the young mother and dumping her body.

Neil Archer, 29, has been interviewed at length by Major Crime detectives investigating her mystery disappearance — but he has vehemently denied harming her.

“I have not touched her, 100 per cent,” he told The Advertiser on Tuesday.

Det Insp Hutchins said Mr Archer was the only person of interest in the case at this stage.

“Yes Jody Meyers’ partner is a person of interest,” Det Insp Hutchins said.

“At this time we only have one person of interest - we always have to keep an open mind though.”

Police would not confirm the identify of a person filmed using Ms Meyers’ bank card at an ATM after her disappearance.

“We have obtained CCTV footage but at this time we can’t release it to the media for a number of reasons but we are working through that,” Det Insp Hutchins said.

Police were appealing to the public for any information that might assist them, particularly any suspicious activity on or around the date she disappeared.

They also wanted to know about a man and woman, both aged between 25-30 years-old, travelling in a red Nissan 2000 in the Murray Park area on August 26.

Items police had not yet located were Ms Meyers' gold engagement ring with four diamonds and her white Samsung Galaxy S4 mobile phone.

Ms Meyers was wearing faded blue denim jeans, a floral top or dress predominately salmon in colour, beige coloured ugg boots and a hooded jumper of unknown colour when she disappeared.

She is 154cm tall, with blonde hair and green eyes. She also wears a hearing aid in her right ear

MAJOR Crime Detectives have charged the mother of the only person of interest in the suspected murder of Mannum mother Jody Meyers with stealing money from her bank account.

Police will allege Margaret Archer used Ms Meyers’ Bank SA ATM card to withdraw money from the missing woman’s account the day after she disappeared on August 27.

Ms Archer was arrested on Thursday and charged at the Murray Bridge Police Station and was bailed to appear in the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court on Wednesday, September 30.

Ms Meyers was last seen almost a month ago on Wednesday August 26.

Police will be launching another search for her body in the Mannum area today.

THE body of a man found dumped in a wheelie bin in northern Adelaide is that of missing father Daniel Hind, police believe.

Two men who were “roaming around” in Waterloo Corner found the body in the bin off Jarmyn Rd, formerly known as Short Rd, near the corner of Mill Rd, about 3pm yesterday.

"Unfortuantely this appears to be another domestic violence related murder. Now, Jody is just another terrible statistic, having her life tragically cut short very brutally," - SA Police.
