Surprised that no media has talked about the usb device that was mentioned previously in court…. And Justice Helen Wilson brought up today, asking Stein’s Barrister, Ms Davenport, if she wanted to take things further regarding the usb device. Ms Davenport said no, and Justice Helen Wilson agreed, saying that she had listened to the audio contained on the usb and had found nothing out of the ordinary on it, and said it was usual prison talk, people calling out words like “dog” etc, and profanities in the background whilst Stein was on the telephone. The judge said she could not hear that any of the insults shouted out were actually aimed at Stein. So the usb was not used in Ms Davenport’s submission. Obviously the plan was to use the usb as a sympathy vote…. But it didn’t work.

C's grandmother is suffering 'much mental anguish and sadness,' he said. 'It affects her mental and physical health (causing) depression and anxiety.

'The failure to protect C will haunt our consciences for the rest of our lives, causing depression and sometimes suicidal thoughts.

'Daddy' turned murderer: Sentence looms for schoolgirl killer

Justice Wilson said it was possible Stein shot the girl once while she was trying to flee, before approaching her and firing another shot directly into her head.
"It's almost akin to an execution," she said during his sentence hearing on Friday.

The judge has announced she will give an account of what happened to Charlise.

While the judge is saying major points in the case, she looks directly at Stein. Stein looks sooo spaced out. Such long blinks. Enormous pupils.

The judge has said that Stein’s testimony in which he gave the appearance of crying, he “used a tissue as a prop”… to wipe his dry eyes.

The judge is still summing up, and has mentioned the missing underpants. Charlise had the clothes on that Kallista said she was last wearing, when her body was found, apart from her underpants. The judge said it it not possible to come to a conclusion why Charlise was found without wearing her underpants. The judge said this is abiding by the rules of “proof beyond reasonable doubt”.

Oh boy… I had never heard this….
Stein bought the sand from Bunnings using a gift card that he had been given as a Christmas present!!!!!!

Judge has said “remorse is taken into account when sentencing, and the offender has never shown this. He has never shown a shred of remorse.”

“The offender has a bleak chance of rehabilitation, which is also taken into consideration in sentencing”

I think the judge is getting nearer to imposing his sentence.

The judge has stated…
“the community must be protected from him”
“The offender displays no humanity, morality and self-control”
“The offender is not capable of true empathy”
