I found this news article dated May 20, 2013 that I think could be related to the case:
"A 65-year-old man has been charged on the Gold Coast today with rape and child sex offences dating back 15 years.
Police charged the Upper Coomera man with three counts of rape and five counts of indecent treatment of a child under 16 years of age after several alleged incidents in the late 1990s.
It is believed the alleged offences occurred during 1998 and 1999. He will appear in Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow."

Try to Google a certain last name adding the text "three counts of rape and five counts of indecent treatment of a child under 16 years of age"....
The saddest thing about charges such as these is that the charged person, no doubt, still has access to young children - and may very well have custody and care of young children.
It seems that we should err on the side of caution and keep children away from people such as this man, while the slow court process decides if he is guilty or not of the charges.
