Two women arrested after another woman found stabbed in car boot

Two women arrested after another woman found stabbed in car boot in Southern Highlands

A woman is lucky to be alive after a member of the public saw her waving her hand “from the rear tail-light section of a white Holden sedan”.

SW Police said “a member of the public called triple-0 (000) to report seeing a hand waving from the rear tail-light” of a white Holden sedan this morning on the Hume Highway at Pheasants Nest.

Highway Patrol officers attached to the Southern Traffic Group then stopped the sedan about 11.50am at the Hume Highway at Berrima.

There they discovered a woman in the boot of the car who’d suffered stab wounds.
She was spotted by a truck driver, who saw her hand protruding from the tail light cavity of the car, Insp. Bernie said he praised the driver for his “excellent work” alerting police.

“It’s very fortunate we found this lady alive,” he said.

Inside the lives of girls charged with car boot kidnap

One likes rap music, gangster-style jewellery and girls, the other appears to be a “rev head” who loves cars and motor bikes and mourns her murdered teen lover.

Both were friends of Brayden Dillon, who was killed aged 15 as he slept by a paid hit man in an alleged revenge killing.

Now the two young women charged with the alleged car boot kidnap of another girl have been refused bail.

And on social media, friends of the two accused from Sydney’s southwestern suburbs near Campbelltown are staunchly standing up for their mates.

Kayley “Kayz” Ketley, 24, and Latia “Tia” Henderson, 18, are in custody at least until their next court appearance.

Police allege the two women attacked Nisha Phillips, 24, at Claymore the night before, stabbed her in the knee, thigh and forearm, stole her car and placed her in the boot.

Detectives are investigating whether drugs were involved and if the two accused were taking the alleged victim to the notorious Belanglo Forest.

Pregnant teenager Latia Henderson, 18, accused of stuffing friend in a car boot is refused bail | Daily Mail Online

Latia Henderson, 18, was upbeat as she faced Campbelltown Local Court via video link on Monday, blowing kisses to her grandparents and mother as they showed support from inside the gallery.

But the teenager, who was revealed in court to be 14 weeks pregnant, quickly broke down after the magistrate refused bail, declaring her 'history of violence' a risk to the community.
.......
On Monday, Henderson's lawyer Gazi Abbas argued his client should be released because she had several favourable prospects, including her age, support from family and the fact she was 14 weeks pregnant, the Macarthur Chronicle reports.

Mr Abbas added that her alleged involvement in the case is yet to be ascertained and she suffers from post traumatic stress disorder and mental health issues after a childhood filled with trauma.

The court heard how Henderson had been left scarred by the freak death of her baby sister and assassination of her friend Brayden Dillon.

Henderson's younger sister Indy Lee was killed in a horror accident in 2016 when the concrete war memorial at Black Head Bowling Club fell on top of her.
.......
Magistrate Carl Milovanovich acknowledged the difficulties Henderson had endured but said the risk to the community was too high.

'The material being presented indicates a young adult with a number of problems in her life, but I cannot disregard that this is a very serious matter because she does have a history of violence and could be facing a lengthy custodial sentence,' he said.

'My role is to protect the community, bail is refused.'
