A $1 million reward, the largest in New South Wales history, has been announced for information that leads to the arrest of the person who abducted missing toddler William Tyrrell, or for the boy’s safe return or recovery.

William, then aged three, went missing from the backyard of his grandmother’s home in Kendall, on the state's mid-north coast, on September 12, 2014.

[...]

"You’re in a much better position if you come to us than if we come to you."

Det. Insp. Jubelin also said the investigation was "a long way" from going to a coronial inquest, and that police did not believe William's family were involved.

Is this the escape route taken by William Tyrrell’s abductors three years ago?

THREE years after William Tyrrell vanished, a dirt track near his grandmother’s home has been revealed as a possible escape route for his abductors.

The track on the side of the house on Benaroon Drive in Kendall, on the NSW Mid North Coast, disappears into bush and connects with a local cemetery and a highway.

Walk 4 William advocates, who led the successful legal campaign to have his biological parents’ identities revealed, have given news.com.au photographs of the “escape route”.

Stunning new revelations about the day William Tyrrell disappeared
JANUARY 19, 2018

STUNNING new revelations about the day William Tyrrell disappeared have been exposed as the grandmother in the nation’s most baffling missing child case speaks out.

In an exclusive interview, Natalie Collins has taken news.com.au through the lead-up to William’s kidnapping and what happened on the morning before he was abducted.

William’s abduction on September 12, 2014 sparked one of the biggest manhunts in Australian history.

Natalie said a last-minute change to William’s plans was made which placed him at the house from where he was abducted.

She also revealed William’s very close relationship with his biological father, even after the boy was removed from her son’s care.

Please continue discussing William's case here, and bear the following in mind:

We do not and can not sit on any one thread to read posts in real time. We rely on members to let us know if there is a problem. If you see someone being rude or disrespectful, please use the Alert feature to lets us know so we can review it before it gets out of hand. If you perpetuate the dissension by responding on the thread, you may be subject to a loss of posting privileges.

Mods really don't like being heavy-handed in threads, but sadly it is necessary at times. From now on, there is a ZERO TOLERANCE policy in effect for bickering or disrespect towards other members in William's thread, and/or for making accusations or insinuations against William's bio or foster family. To do so will result in a minimum 1 week TO or possibly a ban from the thread itself. We love y'all, but we don't want to hear the excuse that "Aussies are different". WSers come from a variety of countries, so we're all different, and we can all make the choice to be rude OR to be respectful and post in accordance with Websleuths Terms of Service.

Thread is now open. Post accordingly. :tyou:

NC, APS, Carol Walker and some other people were at adjoining tables and engaged with each other, BC sat with 1/2 brother a bit further away and i didn't notice him talk to any of the others except his brother. It's all very subdued and calm. The women were making observation about the FM's evidence but I didn't hear clearly. Seems everyone is taking notes. The journo's are interesting, for the most part, there are people typing away word for word, creating their own transcript it seems, others are getting the main points and tweeting, it is silent in there and they are working hard. With deadlines and updates it is easy to see how so much info gets left out or not immediately seen as important so doesn't get reported

So the W4W crew were sitting with NC?

Sounds as if everyone was being pretty diligent about recording proceedings.

Thanks for reporting back about this morning, froggy.

So, does anyone think there might be an individual introduced at some point that we have never heard of?

edit to add - i got that impression... MOO

Even beside the red headed man?
Would the media have known, if there was? I think they were running Savage, who hasn't been named as a POI and mysteriously is represented.

I think it was pretty much reported that the police had never discussed it - so therefore i thought the media would not know... i will try to find the articles (s) from a couple of days ago - altho, as you know, it is MSM :)

My point is that if a total unknown is yet to be introduced and become a big feature, the media wouldn't have known and so wouldn't have been dropping hints. Or if they knew enough to hint, there would have been name and video. The only reason I see for no-name hinting is because all of what they knew is old news.

I found something - of no repute ;)

"The inquest into William Tyrrell’s disappearance, due to begin today, will reportedly focus on a new person of interest who has never been discussed publicly before."

From -New person of interest expected to take centre stage at William Tyrrell inquest

There were many articles that day, saying the same thing. What i don't get is - PS has been discussed, not just here, but all over the news a couple of months back...? wasn't he??? I don't really get it (;ike usual)

Huh? Are you saying it could be PS. It's my thoughts too - but then with regards to recent media - i get confused! Maybe we don't know someone via media? No idea!

Oh i get you - what i meant is that they were even surprised...?

hmmm but they reported that the first day of the inquest??? & never before. I don't diasadree JLZ - im just confused as shi&%

A number of people on the stand today have been asked if PS was seen going for his morning walk. I am wondering if this is to establish if he walked passed foster gm's back deck area and saw the children playing. Or if it is to discredit an alibi he has given for himself or someone else.

Then aged 70, Mr Savage had seen the little boy named William and his sister, who came to stay with their grandmother directly across the road, only occasionally.

"Very few people around here knew him and his sister, not many of us, just two little kids visiting," Mr Savage told news.com.au.

"They wouldn't go wandering. They would stay close to their grandmother.

"You'd never see them unless you were walking or driving past."

The day William Tyrrell vanished

maybe the unknown person who police will be watching closely isnt really unknown, just someone who has never been mentioned or thought of as a poi or suspect?
could be anyone currently there or in august

It's surprising he's been so observant of the little children - but - we'll see i guess!
