From his possessions, it seems he was making his way across the country. The CD player found in his possession makes me think he might have been listening to music while walking in between the rails, so didn't hear the train coming.

I feel that it's safe to assume law enforcement contacted Greyhound in Albuquerque and weren't able to find any information about him.

These cases with enough personal effects to get at least a little sense of who they were, really tug at me. Where was he going? Where was he from?
