Yikes!! Reminds me of Lauren Heicke, hopefully NOT!!

Here's the area, wondered if she lived in one of the nearby homes?

Looks like she's a nurse and has kids.

A family member revealed Jessica, her husband and kids were in Arizona visiting her parents. She grew up in the area, but had moved/been living in Oregon. What a sad thing to happen

"Specifics about the discovery remain part of the ongoing investigation. At this time, nothing suspicious has been identified as a result of the discovery of Lindstrom," read a portion of the statement.

I couldn't get on WS at the time but was following this online. I'm so sorry to see this ending :(

Very reminiscent of Kathleen Patterson last fall (and Dr Dishion the weekend prior to her) unfortunately Found Deceased - AZ - Kathleen Patterson 60, left home 7:30am for hike at Spur Cross Trail, last contact w/fam ph call 10:30am, Cave Creek, 25 Sept 2022

Related, because we unfortunately are having a crazy hot summer and as a result a lot of heat related injuries and near daily rescues on at least one mountain or trail or another...(and because we'll likely see more people listed on WS who are missing in the months to come as a result)

If anyone is local, the AZ 911 FB group is great about responding in local situations like this (missing person and fires, especially).

The person who started it has SAR background and works with Daisy Mountain Fire and worked with the Patterson & Dishion families to start a whistle initiative locally to help prevent deaths like this. If you've not seen the news stories about it, keep an eye on the FB group for when they are giving them out again (special whistles specifically to help first responders find someone if they are injured out hiking/biking/running.

They were also part of the group that lobbied for a helipad to be created at Spurs Cross due to the lack of access and with minimal reception out there, the fact that rescues there often get very serious quickly because of time it takes to get word out (the landing pad just was dedicated about 6 weeks ago) and there were access issues.

The ME's report says Lindstrom died after hitting her head and neck with heat exposure being a contributing factor.

“The location where she was found is very remote, indiscreet, where it’s very difficult to find her," said Capt. Scott Douglas with the Phoenix Fire Department.

Douglas said preliminary information suggests Lindstrom was overcome by the heat while hiking.

“Unfortunately, Ms. Lindstrom was in town from Oregon, where it doesn’t get this hot. She went for a hike, and at this time, it’s a good reminder for all of us to look at how hot and dangerous these desert conditions can be," Douglas said.
