A lot of these people seem to fit a profile: History of drinking/DUI, sometimes drugs, too. Anti-social personality disorder, anger problems, history of DV or violence against others. Also add they’re usually armed to the teeth. Sometimes they’re incels, sexual criminals, entitled injustice collector.

I’m glad FBI is focused on tracking these losers and arresting them.

And he's a sex offender to boot!
So glad he is off the streets!

Sadly, so many are still out there. IIRC, the FBI began a massive effort a couple years ago, following the Jan 6 attack, to seek out these domestic terrorists online. It was mostly in a time when threats were increasing against the FBI. As I recall, they were even pulling in agents who had recently retired to work on internet investigations.

Hopefully that means they're better prepared to track these people when it looks like they're ready to make good on their threats. Today, most are "lone offenders" and their activities are developed on messaging platforms on the internet and social media. Domestic extremists are the most dangerous threat today.

Here's a link to the latest FBI Strategic Intelligence Assessment

JMO, one of the hardest parts of stopping these terrorist before they take action is the laws protecting people who use guns dangerously. If one of these nuts decides to get high on truck stop meth and go shoot off his AR-15 style rifle in your neighborhood, the most they can charge him with is a misdemeanor. If he doesn't hit anyone, he's ok. No probation, slap on the wrist fine.
