James is the cousin of Kimball's legal guardian. Kimball calls James "uncle," despite the pair not being related.

His name is Lawrence James Halamek (the article above left his last name out).

Amber Alert issued for 12-year-old Safford girl

Information from the Amber Alert indicates Savinya may be traveling with 34-year-old Lawrence James Halamek in a blue 2001 Dodge quad cab pickup truck, temporary Arizona plate T941407.

Graham County Undersheriff Jeff McCormies said Savinya and Halamek have spent time together on family outings but are not related by blood. Halamek's cousin is Savinya's legal guardian, McCormies said.

He had a 12 hour jump start before the amber alert went out. They could be anywhere. I hope and pray she is found safe. I'm not sure it will.

Undersheriff Jeff McCormies says it appears from communications between Savinya Kimball and Lawrence James Halamek that she trusts him and reached out to him.

McCormies says both were last seen Monday morning when she was never made it to school and he told his wife he was going to get them breakfast.

This is a bit confusing. The missing poster says Savinya is the cousin of Halameks wife, articles say HE (LJH) is the cousin of Savinyas legal custodian, who she lives with.

LE thinks they have gone off the grid. LJH has a criminal record. Mugshot included in pic below
