Family, military officials searching for missing Camp Pendleton Marine last seen in Carlsbad

A Camp Pendleton spokesperson confirmed to CBS 8 that efforts are underway to locate U.S. Marine Bailey Cameron.

There are no lakes or rivers nearby but it is just two short blocks to the Pacific Ocean. Let's hope he didn't go for a late night swim.

According to MSM and family, his backpack, phone and eyeglasses were found on the sidewalk by another restaurant, Vigilucci's Cucina Italiana, which is about a block away from the Coyote. Both restaurants / bars are only a couple blocks from the beach / ocean which is concerning. I haven't seen any reports if BC was with friends, a date, or significant other the night he went missing or any reports if he had been drinking and/or state of intoxication when he left around 1:30am

The Italian place is close but it is in the opposite direction one would walk if wishing to go to the beach. But if he ended up reversing course again and going west on Grand, that street will take you directly to stairs that lead you down to the beach. (photo from Google Map from Grand Blvd attached).
