A British woman was stabbed to death sometime this week in Ladyville and it wasn’t until her landlady made a check at her apartment that her advanced decomposing body was discovered. Michelle Anison was stabbed several times and her vehicle is now missing, according to Police. There are not many details on this latest killing, but we understand that Anison lived alone and was very friendly with villagers and some say she may have been too nice and trusting because she kept company with some shady characters in the community

Reports are that Anison’s documents – her passport and other forms of identifications are also missing from the apartment. Work associates and friends say that they also became concerned when they didn’t hear from Anison. We understand that her colleagues from the Liberty Children’s Home last spoke with her over the phone on Monday. But all other attempts to get in touch with her by phone this week proved futile.

We understand that Anison has been in Belize for several years now. She started her work as a volunteer with the Liberty Children’s Home in Ladyville and after that she returned to the UK briefly, before permanently relocating to Belize. She was a member of the Board of Directors for Liberty Children’s Home

Cowo added, “Her vehicle is up to now missing, and other belongings are also missing.”
When he was asked if there had been forced entry to her house, Cowo replied, “There was no forced entry into the apartment, and so far, we have four persons that were detained. One was detained yesterday, and we are presently conducting interviews with them so as to see what kind of evidence we can get.”
Cowo said police had gotten information that Anison had been out socializing with villagers.
“Yes, we have gotten information that she is a very friendly person, and that she was out with the villagers, socializing with them. But the important thing from the information we got is that she had never taken anybody to her house to socialize. All the socializing that she did was outside in the establishment, but not at her house. We are looking at some individuals that we believe was close to her …”

A British volunteer has been found dead with multiple stab wounds at her apartment in Belize as police search for her killer.

Michele Anison, a volunteer at the Liberty Children's Home, was found in her apartment on November 17. She is thought to have been killed five days earlier, though details of the murder have only just emerged.

The 56-year-old, originally from North Staffordshire, had lived in the Central American Country for five years and was well known among locals, investigators said.
Ms Anison's family and friends have been left stunned by the death. Her brother Jeffrey Quaile, who lives in Scotland, paid tribute to his "beautiful sister"' on social media.
Her body was flown home earlier this month and a funeral service for the "dearly loved" woman was held near her home in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

Children's home director Agatha Valentine told local media: "We want to get some justice for Michele."
