89-year-old blues legend B.B. King has been hospitalized, according to his representatives. His illness and condition isn't known, but he's had Type II diabetes for the past 20 years. When well, he still tours and performs.

Nicknamed "King of the Blues", 89-year-old Mississippi-born Riley B. King is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and has been ranked among the greatest guitar players of all time.

I love B.B. King. Went to see him as a teenager at Piedmont Park in Atlanta. Rest well B.B.

Three of B.B King's 11 surviving children have had their bid to take control of their father's affairs thrown out of a Las Vegas court.

Two said they suspect the musician's manager of stealing his money and neglecting his medical care. All three complained they were blocked from seeing him in home hospice care.

But a judge tossed the dispute out of court, saying two investigations found no evidence King was being abused and that King's longtime business manager, Laverne Toney, should remain in legal control of his affairs.

Toney and King's lead attorney, Brent Bryson, deny the theft allegations. They say King's children — including Karen Williams, Patty King, Rita Washington — can schedule visits as always.

More than $5 million in assets is at stake and this is unlikely to be the end of the matter. B.B did not attend the hearing himself.

I decided to tune in to NOPD scanner now. What is the matter with this world. Why can't humans stop their crime sprees. Gee whiz. Legend made N.O. Have some respect.

I got to see BB King perform here in Orange County, up close and personal, in the mid-90's. I knew I was lucky to have that opportunity. The world will miss him.

B.B. King. Legendary musician will be missed so very much. Rest In Peace Sir.

Rest in Peace, Sir.

Can't have a B.B. King remembrance without his joy in music (IMO):

This has tones of the dispute surrounding Casey Kassem's death. The article you linked, newone, states, "Cops Say No Homicide Investigation in B.B. King's Death." But a Reuters article published on Monday claims, "Nevada officials said on Monday they would conduct a homicide investigation into the death of B.B. King..."

What changed? The results of the autopsy performed on Sunday aren't due back for 6-8 weeks.

The Clark County, Nevada coroner's office said in a posting on Twitter that it had taken jurisdiction over King's body, and that autopsy results would take a minimum of six to eight weeks.

My coworkers husband attended the funeral with a fellow security officer of Mr. King's.
There is truth to the rumor that there could be a homicide.
Apparently the manager of Mr. King has been cutting the family off from seeing him and the family are all extremely close.
The manager has also been seen emptying out the estate.
She is also the executor.
It is not good.

B.B King asked to be returned to his native Mississippi for his final resting place, and that wish was granted today. President Obama sent a message which I liked, that was read out at the ceremony:

"The blues has lost its king and American has lost a legend," Obama said. "No one worked harder than B.B. No one did more to spread the gospel of the blues. He gets stuck in your head, he gets you moving, he gets you doing the things you probably shouldn't do — but will always be glad you did.

"B.B. may be gone but that thrill will be with us forever. And there's going to be one killer blues session in heaven tonight. "
