Here is a photo of the necklace found with the remains;

6992afdf270f74affc91f365fc910a1e

I recognize this golden necklace. Chinese women wear them all of the time. It has some sort of meaning of luck and prosperity or something along those lines.

100% I guarantee you that most likely this set of bones was not driven to this beach. That would leave it floating in from the strong winds from the North (like today). Every surrounding village including where the remains were found have very strong local police departments that are in addition to the Nassau County police. It is also almost impossible to drive to that location without passing dozens of homes with their own private security cameras as well as dozens of traffic cams. Parking or even stopping a car any place near that stretch of beach is also impossible without someone taking notice. Outsiders simply cannot visit that area without detection.

We are looking to match these remains that were found with a missing Chinese woman from the Bronx, Queens, Westchester or Connecticut.

BBM

That was my first thought as well. I've been looking...so far nothing that seems to match in NY.

Regarding body location: One paper lists it as being at the end of Sheep Lane. Seems pretty desolate from what I can see.

Chinese symbology for the pig ( link )

The pig or boar (zhu 猪) is one of the twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac and traditionally symbolized the prosperity and good fortune of a family that could afford such a quality food source.

An old Chinese custom was to have young male children wear hats and shoes in the shape of a pig. Chinese parents believed this would avoid misfortune since the evil spirits would be fooled into thinking the child was actually a pig.

Also, year of the pig ( link )

10 February 1899 - 30 January 1900: Earth Pig
30 January 1911 - 17 February 1912: Metal Pig
16 February 1923 - 4 February 1924: Water Pig
4 February 1935 - 23 January 1936: Wood Pig
22 January 1947 - 9 February 1948: Fire Pig
8 February 1959 - 27 January 1960: Earth Pig
27 January 1971 - 14 February 1972: Metal Pig
13 February 1983 - 1 February 1984: Water Pig
31 January 1995 - 18 February 1996: Wood Pig
18 February 2007 - 6 February 2008: Fire Pig
5 February 2019 - 24 January 2020: Earth Pig
2031 - 2032: Metal Pig
2043 - 2044: Water Pig
Also, based upon their estimated age, she would have been born in the date range bolded above. Which, if she was reported missing, might help narrow down her identity.

I'm going blind, so I'm stopping for the night. I could be scouring endless pages all night trying to find a missing asian woman, and it turn out that this victim was simply a pig lover. :dunno:

Well, for them to have an estimated age range, there must have been little decomp to the remains.

Here are the links to the two other women found in Oyster Bay.

Marisha Cheong of Queens is still missing. Her family lives on Long Island.

In the newsreports it is stated that the skeleton remains were found "at the end of Sheep Lane"

Now, at the end of Sheep Lane there is a privat club named "Piping Rock Beach Club".
The club is located right by the beach.

Of interest, is that on their website "Dress Code" section they write:

"Please be aware the use of cellullar phones/PDA's
is prohibited on Club Grounds
"

I wonder if the remains washed up on shore during hurricane sandy.

Somone killed this woman.

Put her remains in a bag.

Disposed the bag with the ramins inside.

BUT...did NOT remove her VERY distict necklace with a, probaly, 24k gold pig pendant!!!

That, IMO, point strongly to that :

The killer didn´t care about wheter the victim could be identifyed.

The killer and the victim did NOT know each other.

The killing was not motivated by robbery/stealing.

Foreigner,
Im just throwing this out there. maybe I read too many mystery books, but could the necklace have been intentionally left or placed with the remains? As a statement to whoever found them? Like a calling Card?
I've read a lot of online comments where these degenerate males refer to women as pigs.

Question: Anyone know what the demographics of the area in Manorville? Rich? Middle? Poor?

Just looking because I am thinking maybe this has something to do with a big F U to rich people. Drops his bodies in desolate beach/high end neighborhoods. Kind of like "na na nana na"

IF this is related. Just throwing some thoughts out there.

Anything is possible Samantha Spade, however I doubt that the killer would use a 24 k gold pendant if it was som kind of calling card.

It cost: US $339.99

Its funny. Everytime there is bad news coming from the neighborhoods inhabited by the D family it is shutup pretty quickly. I remember when the body washed up in one of thier backyards.....it was posted and taken down rather quickly on Newsday. Kind of makes you think.....

Uh, good point as always Foreigner.
Personally, the way I've been eating this holiday season, there is no way in hell I'd wear a pig, a cow, an elephant or any kind of rubenesque (sp?) animal on my neck no matter how cute they are. So using projection, I'm thinking the victim must have been skinny.

That's what you can do when you run a monopoly.

Wasn't a theory floating around (no pun intended) about a bridge on the north shore by 'd's house? Something about a known dump site.....I remember reading about this somewhere.

The "Piping Rock Beach Club" (that I posted about in post#19) which is located right by where the skeleton reamins were found, is located aprox 1 mile west of D's house in Bayville (both properties on the beachfront) !!!
