I'm still trying to catch up, so I read but never have much to say, but today I have to tell you all how amazing you are. Truly incredible.
It seems to be walking like a duck, and quacking, must be getting too close for comfort for someone I suppose. Well, yay.
Robert is in magnificent hands. Thank goodness.
lol accents.

eta...lol yep - how to make a you tube video using powerpoint I might can handle that......
Well interestingly enough, we had quite a few malicious activities that tied in to Bob's anniversary and our new efforts.
I collected and continue to collect information regarding them and I was told that there are so many cases of this kind of stuff that it is difficult to get LE's attention regarding it except when it is in relation to a major crime. Like a murder investigation, just for example. The other bit I was told was that the FBI has jurisdiction over it.
I am going to chalk it up to coincidence until told differently because there is no way on God's green Earth that anyone could be that stupid.
Right?
Or could it be that some people think this is normal? I think we've already seen some very contradictory behaviour - aunts having disputes with grandson, sisters appearing to say things in opposition to other sisters, son-in-law leaving everyone high and dry when he must know so many of the public's questions about Bob's disappearance can only be answered by him. All combined with a show of public unity.
Then we have the conflict between what is said and done in public, and messages and actions that are taken in private.
So, I don't tend to think, can anybody be that stupid? I tend to think, is there anyone out there who would think it is entirely normal to present one face to the public, and then, behind the scenes, seek to destroy the search for a missing person, maybe because you don't like some of the people searching? Or maybe because you'd prefer no search at all? And not worry about what will happen if anyone finds out, because to you that is normal behaviour?
It's what everyone does, isn't it? Nobody will be surprised.
That's a rhetorical question. I'm convinced most people do NOT think/behave that way. I think what was said in the Disappeared episode, and the public's reaction to it, is proof enough.
There are people around Bob's case whose reactions to his disappearance have been downright unusual. I'm not sure they know just how unusual other people find them though.[/quote]
That's an interesting observation, zwie.
I've wondered in many a case if there is a correlation between the first BBM of your post, and the second.
Is there simply a certain type of person who resists persistance and competence in whatever area of services one is seeking or wishes to appear to be seeking?
I mean, who goes to the best cardiologist around and is told that they have significant risk factors for heart disease and ought to have XYZ and change their lifestyle and so on and so forth...and then says poo poo they don't know what they're talking about, they just want me in their operating suite??

Welcome, EGirl! You just caused a transatlantic misunderstanding, I think. I thought for a moment a fellow supporter of my family's favourite football team had appeared, and got all excited. Then I realized that, in your location, Spurs probably doesn't refer to a football team in England.

The reason the concept struck me is that I had a friend who drank themselves to death, who was terrified of dying, knew (I think) what was killing them, but insisted to everyone who would listen it was some rare medical problem and they hoped for a miracle cure. After trying everything else, I tracked down the leading specialist in that rare medical field, and got my friend a consultation.
He said what I thought he would, as kindly as he could, but it made no difference at all. I walked away in the end, after years, because I couldn't watch someone kill themselves, who did not want to die, while asking their loved ones to subscribe to the story this was just a terrible, terrible, stroke of fate - a great, tragic mystery and there was nothing anyone could do.
I still think about the choices my poor dead friend made, and if they were choices at all. And I still think about the choice I made too. I always will.
Hoops, zwie! Hoops!
