One year after son’s disappearance, Laspisas still hold out hope

A couple of weeks before Karen and Mike Laspisa heard from Arizona police, a woman called to report seeing Bryce riding a bicycle near Truckee.
Another person called to say Bryce had dreadlocks.
Regardless of how diverse, or bizarre, the sightings are, the Laspisas don’t want people to stop calling to report the possibility of seeing Bryce.
“We don’t want anybody to stop sending stuff in,” Karen said.
“Mike and I, we go through every day as well as can be expected,” she said. “We never give up hope.”

I find it VERY odd that a burning body was found near by, close to the time Bryce went missing. Who was the person that was found burning? Were they ever identified?
