*Trial set to begin (@ 9am PT) – CA – Diego Villa Torralba (newborn-12 hours old) (July 19, 2019, Oxnard; strangled after birth) - *Andrea Torralba Comacho (20/now 23) ”mom” arrested (7/19/19), charged (7/23/19) & arraigned (9/30/19) & re-arraigned (10/7/21) with murder & assault on a child by means of force resulting in death. Plead not guilty. Was $1M bond, changed (9/30/19) to $5M.
*Diego Villa Torralba aka David Luna Villa (21/now 23) “father” arrested (7/19/19), charged (7/23/19) & arraigned (9/30/19) & re-arraigned (10/7/21) with murder & assault on a child by means of force resulting in death. Plead not guilty. $5M bond.

It is so weird that both were charged with murder of this poor baby.

I could see maybe the father did so, after deciding it wasn't his baby. Or maybe Mom did so, during a post partum incident.

But both of them decided to strangle their newborn baby, while they were all still in the hospital? Did they want to get caught? They probably could have smothered the little guy a day or 2 later at home and it would have been seen as a tragic SIDS case.
