I read the article DK thank you for posting. I have the feeling that this won't be the last incident of abuse. Love doesn't have to and shouldn't hurt.
 
I have a friend who keeps getting back with the guy who slaps her, pushes her around, beats her, sends her to the hospital.... "but he's such a nice guy" and "he has issues he is working on" etc etc.

Once a guy hits a girl like this, it's not the last time.

And Rihanna ... come on!! You are too good for this. Gorgeous, talented, good person.

While they may actually be together, TMZ is also reporting that Rhianna is being escorted everywhere by one of Jay Z's body guards...they have a nice run down as well on what charges can still be filed/pressed regarding the assault even if Rhianna decides to recant. He will likely still face the domestic assault charge which is a slam dunk based on the photos and the physical evidence.

The key will be whether Garagos can plead him down to something lesser without jail time. They can't let the photos get to a jury-he will do jail time.

My bold and italics. I hear you-I worked with a woman who was clearly being beaten. This was the story of her marriage-black eyes, broken fingers, the works. She constantly went back to him and recanted. One day, the police had been called to the home again by her because she was sure he would kill her this time. The police stood outside their home and watched while the perp ripped the phone out of the wall and chased her. They waited until he caught her and started wrapping the phone cord around the neck of this tiny woman. They burst in and grabbed him-this time he was charged with attempted murder. Her testimony did not count because there were 2 cops as eye witnesses. Finally, he did time, and finally for her the cycle was broken.

We can certainly debate their technique-but they were sick of him hitting her too. They were sick of her taking him back. I thought it was amazing.

Wow. Even though I don't follow celebs and had to ask, "Who's that?" when this story first hit, I think this is bad news.

They'll be the next Whitney and Bobby.
 
She should sit down and have a long talk with Tina Turner!! What a stupid choice she has made. And I don't think this was the first time he roughed her up!
 
I guess that was one way for him to save his career.
 
Someone just posted on "Up to the Minute" that rumor is Rhianna married Chris Brown while they were staying at Diddy's place.
 
she also doesnt have to testify against him either if they are married!!! He knows what he is doing......
 
I suppose it will take a few more beatings from him for her to realize she made a huge mistake. Sad...
 
What a shame, really. The cycle will continue unless he gets counseling. A tearful reunion and quickie wedding isn't going to heal this or make it go away.

I pray they do the right thing before it's too late.

I hope one of the stipulations of marrying him is that he gets counseling (although she should have waited to marry him until he was finished with counseling).

I've been holding this back because I don't want anyone to think I thought she got what she deserved. I remember when Brittny Spears first made a public appearance, performing on MTV. She wasn't ready and it was obvious. She seemd to be in some sort of drug stupor and she hadn't got her body back after giving birth. The camera panned to Rhianna and she was laughing. I was so angry and never liked her since then. I wonder if she thinks about the embarrassment she feels now, and feels a little sorry, or guilty, that she seemed to receive so much pleasure from Brittny's embarrassment?

My mother always said "what goes around comes around". While I don't believe that I do try to follow "there but for the grace of God, go I."
 
I liked Chris Brown's music and he is a wicked dancer so I was disappointed to hear about the fight with Rihanna. However, the pair of them need their heads testing if this story about them getting married is true. They are both so young anyway, there is noooo way it will last!
