Search & Rescue - Missing Person
Case Number: 202401010
On Monday, August 5, 2024, Gregory Alan Russell was reported missing from the area of Tillamook County, Oregon. The initial report indicated that Russell had driven away from his residence on August 1, 2024, but no report had been made until August 5, 2024.
It was later learned that Russell had gone to a casino in the area of North Bend, Oregon and then traveled to Trinity County and had contact with numerous individuals he knew, none of which appeared to know at the time that he had been reported as a Missing Person.
Russell’s vehicle was discovered up a logging road in the Deerlick Springs area on Tuesday, August 13, 2024; Russell was not with the vehicle.
Deputies responded that night and were unable to locate Russell. Search and Rescue efforts began the morning of Wednesday, August 14, 2024 and are ongoing. There are numerous Search and Rescue members as well as Deputies in the area attempting to locate Russell.
Russell has in the past had some peculiar behaviors in regards to his actions and it is believed that he wandered from the vehicle into the woods.
