Lets see , Earp, CA to Palo Verde, CA is about an hour and a half drive....about 76 miles or so south of Earp, CA

Gotta wonder if the two cases are linked in some way. Two months apart, same age. Lone drivers. Is someone "working" the area of Earp? FWIW

He was last seen July 15th. Truck not "found" until Aug 25th? Was it just left sitting there for over a month? The local man said he saw it several times. It was found out a mile into the desert off the road. Didnt any local person find that odd or concerning?

And what I find odd is family had his phone pinged and went to the site and found the truck. Why wasn't LE on this?

Why wasnt le contacted when the truck was seen the first few days? Imagine being lost or stranded in the desert and the locals just say oh..."a truck out there". After a couple days one would think there was something up with that truck and or its driver and contact the local LE agency...IMO. Too bad for the family. They prob feel helpless and alone having to do all the work on this case.

This is a remote area with few travelers.

Justin, Sandy, we're pulling for you both!

So nothing on Justin? No searches, no one coming forward saying they saw him? Just finding his truck and that's it?

Justin has to be somewhere.

In a way it's stranger than Sandy's case since Justin was local to the area rather than just passing through. Many more people would have known him and recognised him if they'd seen him.
