It's not. The judge has prevented live recording, but reporters are in the courtroom taking notes and posting updates through twitter during recesses.Sorry for the dumb question....is this being live-streamed anywhere?
Nope. Media is limited inside the court room to 10 media in the room and overflow and 10 public. No cameras or phones updates only on breaks. Apparently it's pretty normal in SLO court roomsSorry for the dumb question....is this being live-streamed anywhere?
Only one video camera and one still camera are allowed in the courtroom.
That's called a "pool" camera situation. The news agency designated as the pool camera shares their video or pictures with other media covering the case.
Per the judge's orders, we are only allowed to record video, no live broadcasting is allowed, and we can not record any audio of the hearing.
There are also restrictions on who we can show in the video.
....
He explained his reasoning for not allowing audio recordings, saying that thousands of people had already logged in to watch the previous Zoom hearings in the case, and he worried it could taint the potential jury pool if the case were to go to trial and also deter witnesses from testifying or cause other witnesses to alter their testimony.
Why does this thread take me back several posts, sometimes many, when I get an alert? Others don’t. Anybody know?
thanks. i wasn't sure the exact number, but knew it was a multiple of 5. I didn't realize there was a limit in the overflow room as well. It was the only article I could find at the time for a reference. My bad@Hope32 this is from the preliminary hearing for the trial is different; they allow 5 in the courtroom and 5 in the overflow room
Same.I believe it is the tweets that are posted. You first see them as just links - and it takes a little time for them to "expand" into readable stuff here. That's what has been happening to me at least. It bounces back to old posts I've already read.
