Los Angeles County Coroner officials are still seeking clues to the identity of a middle-aged woman whose body was found floating in the ocean over the weekend near Carbon Point.
A Malibu fishing boat captain spotted the fully clad body and notified Los Angeles County lifeguards. They responded and pronounced the woman dead at Paradise Cove.
Malibu sheriff's deputies reported that the woman was about 47 years old, 150 pounds, with graying hair and brown eyes. She was wearing an orange dress with white polka dots and an orange sweater.
The cause of death has not yet been determined by coroner officials.
Neither Malibu sheriff's homicide detectives nor coroner investigators would speculate at this time on the cause of death.
