OC residents hosting Super Bowl party when plane crashed into home
"The Orange County Fire Authority said there were at least two active structure fires at the scene on Canyon Drive near Crestknoll Drive.

There was one home that suffered the most fire damage. Witnesses said when they ran outside, they saw that home immediately engulfed in flames.

In that home, four people were killed - two men and two women. The man flying the plane also died in the crash. Witnesses said that's the home where the Super Bowl party was being held. Witnesses also said they saw people escaping that home, screaming for family members they couldn't find.

A witness' video shows the two-story home engulfed by a massive inferno as horrified neighbors look on and two explosions are heard.

In the footage, a piece of the plane's wreckage is burning in the street. A man is seen dousing it with water from a garden hose. Another man then uses a fire extinguisher to put out the flames."

Here's a video of it with people who saw the plane before it crashed in the comments

Thanks for posting that video. It really gives u an on-the-scene perspective.....the fire is so huge! The kid that filmed it did a really good job.

As one lady said in a video posted upthread, “It could have been any of us, any of these houses.....” Super Bowl party, Sunday afternoon, friends sitting around having a good time, food, conversation.....bam, a plane crashes into your house and you’re dead. So random and so very sad.

This is interesting.

It was not immediately clear why the man, identified as 75-year-old Antonio Pastini, was in possession of the fake credentials. According to authorities, his other identification details and his Federal Aviation Administration pilot's license are still believed to be authentic.

The small plane ascended to about 7,800 feet before it crashed about 10 minutes after taking off from the Fullerton Municipal Airport, National Transportation Safety Board investigator Maja Smith said. Its wrecked fuselage ended up in a residential backyard.

OC plane crash: Pilot's false credentials ID'd him as ex-cop

Pilot was from northern Nevada

Officials: Pilot in California plane crash was from Gardnerville

Two other family members in the destroyed home managed to escape with burns

Pilot in deadly Orange County plane crash identified

More on the deceased pilot. His daughter said he was a retired police officer, but Chicago PD says not true. Daughter also said he went by a different name - Jordan Isaacson. He had a business in Nevada, a tree farm in Oregon and owned sushi restaurant. This guy sounds sketchy.

Sheriff Says Pilot in Deadly Crash Had Fake Credentials

NBC4 spoke with a woman who identified herself as 75-year-old Antonio Pastini's daughter Monday, who was mourning the loss of her father. Julia Ackley said the pilot, who was also called Tony, was a former Chicago police officer.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday that Pastini was carrying false credentials with him in the crash that led to the National Transportation Safety Board to incorrectly identify the pilot.

Pastini's daughter also told NBC4 Monday that the pilot was born under a different name, Jordan Isaacson. She said he was an experienced pilot and a popular businessman who lived in Nevada. She said he also owned a sushi restaurant, a tree farm in Oregon and also has a twin brother.

I wonder who owned the airplane?

He had purchased it last year and had work done on it before it could be registered. IIRC, he had begun the application process late last year.

LA aircraft crash has Klamath Falls ties

According to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) records, Pastini purchased the aircraft on Dec. 21, 2017, registered in Chiloquin. At the time of the crash new registration was pending for the aircraft filed by KL Management LLC in Klamath Falls. No company titled KL Management LLC exists according to the Oregon Secretary of State’s office, but the registrant address of 5718 S. Sixth St. is the location of the Cagey Quilter – owned and operated by Debbie Pastini. A relative of Antonio Pastini’s, Debbie Pastini relocated to Klamath Falls from Carson City several years ago, bringing her quilting business with her to the Klamath Basin.

The pending registration application for the aircraft under KL Management LLC was reportedly filed on Oct. 31, 2018 according to FAA records. That registration filing has been listed as pending since Jan. 2.

This is so odd. From one of your links:

Ackley said her father changed his name to Antonio Pastini years ago, but isn't sure why. His birth name was Jordan Albert Isaacson.

Antonio Pastini killed when plane crashed had fake cop credentials | Daily Mail Online

The pilot who died in the cockpit of a small plane that crashed into a California home and killed a family of four had fake police credentials on him.

Yesterday, Antonio Pastini was identified as a retired Chicago police officer after his Cessna 414A fell apart midair while flying over Yorba Linda, a suburb around 36 miles southeast of Los Angeles, at around 1.45pm on Sunday.

But the Chicago Police Department said it had no record of the 75-year-old, who's actually from Gardnerville, Nevada, ever working for them.

False retirement papers and a police badge with the same issue number as a badge reported lost in 1978 were found at the crash site, Chicago police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi revealed.

The development comes as DailyMail.com discovered a series of cryptic Facebook posts shared on Pastini's profile in the weeks leading up to the tragic crash.

Four days before the crash on January 31, in what would be Pastini's final post, he eerily told his 'friends' that this would be the last time he ever opened Facebook again.

Pilot who died in California crash was friends with brothel owner Dennis Hof | Daily Mail Online

The pilot who died in a small plane that crashed into a California home and killed a family-of-four was good friends with the late brothel owner Dennis Hof and would often fly him and his Bunny Ranch girls.

Pimp-turned-politician Hof would frequently get flown in the Cessna 414A that Antonio Pastini, 75, was flying before it fell apart midair over Yorba Linda Sunday.

The men became close friends when Hof would regularly hang out at a sushi restaurant Pastini owned in Carson City, Nevada- where Hof's famed Bunny Ranch is located.

Photos show Hof posing in front of the plane, that has the same tail number as the one that fell out of the sky Sunday. Other photos show Hof inside the aircraft with an unidentified woman.

Sources tell TMZ, Pastini often flew Hof and his girlfriend in the plane.

Hof died at his Love Ranch brothel in Crystal, Nevada in October after he had attended a rally for his campaign to win a seat in the Nevada state assembly in GOP-popular District 36. He was 72.
