BBM - This makes me wonder how many times Sherri was IN a vehicle. Did they move her around a lot in those 3 weeks?

I would think that a woman in a SUV with a pillowcase or bag over her head would have gotten someone's attention.

Maybe the Perps didn't get caught on camera because they didn't go in the area of the camera. She walked a lot ... are there places to turn around or other roads to take before the SUV would have gotten to the area with camera?
I'm not saying she isn't so scared she isn't talking but maybe she is honestly telling all she knows.
I'm also not so sure that 2 Latino is all she told LE. LE is playin this very close to the vest. There isn't a push for people to check their home CCTv. There isn't any of the typical , anyone change their habits that you know of PSA s. Maybe it's just hopeful thinking on my part.
I honestly think they've had an idea of something before she was ever released. If something doesn't break in the next day or so I may have to change my thoughts

I can see that. Some where there are people who have suspicions about neighbors, relatives, etc. And these women could be low level and may have made some rookie mistakes. That might explain the torture and physical disfigurement, if only temporary, and the reason for and method of release.

SP may well have given them a struggle, too, both physically and verbally. JMO

I don't think her release had anything to do with deciding she wasn't a trafficking commodity. It wouldn't have taken 3 wks to come to that conclusion. Her age would have been obvious after abducting her, and as has been posted many, many times before most females and males forced into this criminal enterprise are marginalized, exploited young people. Quite tragic.

I agree - killing her was never part of the plan. Timing of her release was - in my opinion.

Most puzzling, from what I've read; sex traffickers do not abduct people from the streets and sell them to escort agencies, or on back page or whatnot. The victims are mostly lured in runaways and so-on.

Kidnapping someone for this purpose is just unheard of. It would just be to risky. If I'm wrong, point me to a case where it has happpened.

It depends on the dogs. My beagle (who recently died at age 14) would stop and smell *everything*. My chihuahua/papillon mix would bark at his own shadow - continuously. My Labrador/mastiff mix might be able to keep up, but he's afraid of water so I'd have to avoid passing streams, ponds, puddles, homes with sprinklers...

I think the intent was always to let her go, hence hiding their faces, covering hers, and branding her with a "message." Who would have read the message if she'd been murdered and her body hidden somewhere?

Jackpot! The branding/message placement is the KEY to unlock the who's and the why's. Is it fairly visible? maybe aimed to a mixed audience. Is it fairly private? maybe aimed to a targeted audience/person? Or maybe a warning/reminder to SP? gosh, this is beyond disturbing...

I think it's possible that the abductors had Sherri chained and used zipties looped through the chain and around the bottom seat frame of the SUV.

That would make her hunched over towards the floor of the vehicle which would minimize other motorists seeing her. JMO

Yep, Occam's Razor!

And it defies logic that anyone is driving around the rural roads of Redding hoping to find a random kidnap victim.

It's unlikely SP was randomly picked up.

AND if, as KP said, the only reason SP approached the vehicle was because they weren't men... wouldn't she have been just as wary that they weren't wearing masks?

Police have not been revealing the true narrative around her kidnapping.

I could never leave my pets though would only go where they are also welcome.

They will probably meet up with their pets later when they get settled in their own place. If you had a violent kidnapper breathing down your neck, and you had young children, you would probably let your friends care for your fur babies while you went to find a new secret place to settle down, JMO

I found CG interesting way back in this discussion when he "showed" up and interjected himself in this case. His ultimatum to the kidnappers about the ransom deadline was absurd. He better get used to the spotlight, it's going to get even more bright as the conclusion plays out.

I don't know if Sherri was in the best condition to view videos of suspect vehicles right after she was released from her captors. JMO
