I'm willing to bet there were men involved and the thought of that makes me sick to my stomach.

If she saw long hair, she could of maybe noticed neck length (short, long), shoulders (slim/thick).
If you can see earrings, I'll bet you can notice the ears shape.

Even so there is a reason LE hasn't released that information. Either they have more of a description, or they don't. Either way we are going to have to use the info we have. There's no way around it at this point.

I just searched each person on this list to look for media to start threads for them and not one had a single news article published about their being missing. Anteen Crockett, who has been missing since 2012 has a Charley Project page but no thread here: http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/c/crockett_anteen.html

I'm going to go start a thread for Anteen now. Not sure what can be done about the others. :(

ETA: Anteen's thread started here: http://www.websleuths.com/forums/sh...-Redding-15-June-2012&p=12985030#post12985030

Or maybe there was a package being delivered by a courier. I check my mailbox when I get an email stating my package has been delivered ASAP because of mail theft.

Great point.

This really could explain the half wrapped package if a fake delivery person called from the mailbox and told her he has to deliver at the box and she went up there to get package and they snagged her.

Which could mean they were in a fake delivery truck. Although my rural post office lady drives her regular vehicle too to deliver packages.

soj51. I am optimistic. And fed up. And especially after what happened to this girl, what brown and the rest refer to as law, they can shove right back up the hole it came out of.

I've been doing landscape maintenance in Redding for the past 18 years. I've seen enough in the past 8 from very questionable others doing the same for less than half price to wonder if they scout while on their route, for any opportunity. Just a thought, that was probably already thought.

A very good thought. Especially if they have accomplices they can ring up and say, "Hey I found somebody on this road at this time. No one else is around."

This is so alarming. I think I counted 23 missing people in an 8 week span, that's nearly 3 a week. I'm sure there are varying circumstances, but still shocking. IMO.

The majority, if not most, appear to be runaway foster kids, and not all of these are recent - just recently posted. Before this can be considered alarming I think you'd need to match it with other time periods, as well as other areas. My guess is, however sad, there is nothing statistically out of the ordinary here.

You stole my next thought. :happydance: The wrapping of the present that was just delivered by a "local courier company".

Lately I have been leaning toward a twisted punish motive rather than something like a sex trafficking motive. Primarily because she was released.

I do have a question about sex trafficking if anyone knows.

We keep hearing that these traffickers can kidnap and then use them for prostitution purposes.

What prevents the girls from just escaping when on their Tricks?
Or telling the "john" they are being forced into this and to have the John tell LE for them and how to find them. Even ask the John to setup a sting with LE for them so she can be saved.

I have never quite understood how they keep control over them if they are prostituting with general public people who could help them.

The pimp or holder of these women cannot be with them 100 percent of the time if they are doing tricks. Sure they may be outside the door but that doesnt mean the girls could not secretly ask the john to help them get away from their abductor.

I never have understood this very well.

Exactly, as I previously posted, human trafficking makes great books and movies, but it doesn't work in real life. I'm sure there are people who are dumb enough to try it though, and I'm sure they are the ones who get arrested in these massive sting operations that cover all 50 states and dozens of foreign countries. With that many LEOs working on it, they have got to be able to arrest somebody.

Beyond that, as many posters in this thread have pointed out, SP doesn't fit the profile of someone who would be trafficked. If the investigators in this case start wasting their time trying to connect this case to human traffickers, the case will never be solved.

Sadly many of those teens classified as runaways may not in fact be runaways. LE just classifies them as that when they don't have enough evidence that points towards abduction. Sort of like this case for the first couple of weeks.

Now it seems the PI guy is saying he knows who did it. See #20 in this article. Hope he shares. SMH big time.

3. Kevin Papini works as an audio-video specialist. He has denied that the abduction story is fake. "I understand people want the story, pictures, proof that this was not some sort of hoax, plan to gain money, or some fabricated race war," Keith Papini told Good Morning America. "I do not see a purpose in addressing each preposterous lie."

Can they at least get his name right? Really?

Never discount Websleuths, a lot of us have called cases correctly hundreds of times. WS has helped break cases. And that is without all of the inside information. I wouldn't be here if I didn't think WS was serious business.

I'll never get caught up before the thread is closed for the night but I just wanted to say BOOM. Nailed it. There are some brilliant thinkers here. I consider myself honored to be among them.

The people that pay to have sex with them are not going to help them by contacting the police. If anything, they would complain to the pimps, and the girl would be beaten for trying seething like that.

Whenever I've lived where there was a bank of mail boxes, there was always two big boxes for packages. They put your package in the box and the key for the box in your regular mail box then you use the key to open the box and get your package. The key then is somehow stuck inside the lock until the mail carrier uses a special key to get it out.

UPS and fed ex and that other one leave either your package or a sticker at your door if you don't answer. Often they don't even knock they just leave it and my UPS account texts me and tells me it's there. I've never had a package delivery person call me. They're in a hurry. In my experience.

An "Account Executive" is a fancy name for sales agent. They are not actually "Executives."

Thats a good point but I am not really so sure about that.

Not that Ive ever been with a prostitute but even if i paid someone to have sex and they began to secretly tell me about them being held against their will, I can guarantee I would find a way to let LE know as much as possible about the girl. It would be well after I had left the pimp and the girl.

The thought of that makes me sick too but I really think I'd that were the case KP would be waaaay more angry in his interviews.

Of note, the Project Taken Facebook page has scrubbed all reviews (many linked to the Daily Beast article) and numerous skeptical comments.

Instead of addressing the discrepancies mentioned in the article, they're trying to bury the question. It should be really easy to address to issues if there are honest answers to those questions.

One of the things I've noticed is that Bethel hasn't exactly jumped for joy about CG and in fact has removed some of the stuff from their website about him, which they removed the page where he talked about his hostage negotiation in Mexico. I'm still thinking back when SP was first abducted that CG went to the media on 11/6 with a fake donor so the media rejecting him, he then flattered LJ via his fake donor so that he could get KP to vouch for him and that is why he didn't reappear again until 11/17. Also with CG being out of town most of the time, it doesn't exactly sound like someone who is immediately able to respond if an abductor actually had called to say they wanted to take the ransom money and run.

Another shoddy article of twisting the facts. Now the woman who passed her and called 911 was supposedly flagged down by SP.
