Why don't they have court on Fridays? I have noticed that a lot in CA cases and it causes the cases to drag on at a snail's pace. So this week there will only be three days of testimony. Gee, no wonder CA cases take so long.

Its hard to get use to because here in Georgia in many murder cases the Judge will even have trial court Monday through Saturday with long court hours each day. I have even seen cases if the juries are in deliberations the Judge will have them come in from 1-6pm after church on Sunday to continue deliberating whether they have been sequestered or not.

Rarely does a death penalty case here take months to try...even high profile cases. Usually they are over and done with in 3-4 weeks and that includes sentencing.

It has to be agonizing for Sierra's family with all of these downtime court days.

I served on a jury case in the Bay Area not too long ago, not murder, a minor case. It took nine days and the jury was in court five days, not even five days because one day they let us go home after the first break.
