Its been mentioned a few times that some think it is weird KL and AL would leave their family and move to Mexico. The fact is that they have family in Mexic too. It is a large family with many nieces and nephews and cousins, etc. About half the people I know with kids do not live near their parents.

Exactly. What if, and this is just my theory, another family member who lives in Mexico died suddenly, someone who resembles AL, as there was another brother who had A as the first initial. What if HE is the identical twin. That thought crossed my mind right from the beginning when there never was an appearance by the twin brother as he should look today. Something is just not adding up, but I'm sure LE will get to the bottom of this and find out that there is more to this story than meets the eye. And if in fact it is because of all these business dealings that went wrong, they may well have had to get away and fast. Who knows who they got tangled up with over the years. In
the long run, it would of course be best if this did happen, as that would mean that someone and hopefully all three are still alive. One can only hope.

This family (extended) has ties to Mexico with property and IIRC business ties as well, I wonder (and just speculating) if there is a Mexican Cartel tie, i recall not long ago the Menonite Community in Alberta having ties to the Mexican Cartels.............I wonder if there is connection though business venture both in Canada and elsewhere with the Liknes Family

Appears to be. That suggests it was in Canmore all along, then brought to the house recently to set up as a shrine.

If it were in the house, can't see LE releasing it for family use yet.

Unless there are multiple such Three Sisters candle holders, like someone in the family makes and sells them?

The seventh picture from this twitter site shows the dark mark on the garage.

The mark appears to be on the left hand side of the garage door.

Earlier pictures show this also. We decided it's some forensic substance used on marks on the door and heavily around the area where a garage door keypad would hang.

Interesting that the garage is only now being opened to the daylight. I agree with the speculation that the Altima was in the garage and has now been rolled out to make room for the detailed search.

JMOO - This employee doesn't sound 'disgruntled'. Especially if the full article is read....I can't say about the other employees...it does sound as though MK believes it wasn't Winter's 'fault'.

The employee in this instance was not upset about the bankruptcy. Other small businesses that did business with Winter Petroleum may be filing bankruptcy next week because of non-payment for work completed, and the employees of those businesses may lose their homes. We certainly don't know the extent of the transactions related to work, and we also don't know whether someone worked on the patent ideas without being mentioned on the patent application.

So is FL DG's siter? If so she is not married to AL's son but to his twin brother, also an AL. NOT ALjr.

Trying to not break any rules but hopefully its clear enough.

Hi Bakerlady - yes it does get confusing - DG's sister is PG and she is married to ALjr - I hope that helps

I fear that with this current search of the L's garage, back at the Parkhill house, that the searches at the two landfills or on the G's property have not turned up any evidence that points to a perp. At least, any evidence that will stick.

I wonder if they've searched any properties in Edmonton? Way back someone posted that AL owned property near Edmonton with a brother (Yellowhead, AB I believe?) Does anyone know if this was proven to be AL the missing or AL the twin brother of the missing man who owned this?

In the attached photo is the cupcake holder that was for sale on KLs Kijiji ad. We know now it was at the estate sale in Calgary. Not important but does answer some questions about it being in Canmore.

If ALs recent business venture just very recently folded ( a couple of weeks before the night/day Al, KL and NO went missing) I wonder when they made the decision to live between Mexico and Edmonton?

It's clear they would have sold their home last December, with perhaps the home purchase in Edmonton following. But when did Mexico factor in? Before or after the recent business venture went under?

The reason I am curious is I can understand the move to Edmonton while Winter Petroleum was still active, but Mexico?

Agreed otto, then the only other area in the home that would accommodate the large leather set pieces and the two desks is above the garage but I cant be certain of that. In the kijiji ad the room is very bright and has several windows therefore the basement is ruled out plus I posted basement furniture pics previously and the carpet and walls do not match.

IMHO, it could be as simple as talking about what they'd like to do. Most people who live in Calgary don't usually retire to Edmonton, even if they are from there. This past winter was one of the worst on record with snow in every month between (and including) October to May. We're not even near retirement age and we've been quipping to all and sundry that we're moving somewhere warm before next winter.

That must be a mistake. There is Allen the twin brother, and Allen who is Alvin's son and common law with Garland's sister.
