Toronto Police Service :: News Release #45858
Case #: 2019-2203242
The Toronto Police would like to seek the public's assistance locating an elopee.

Daniel Kent, 47, was last seen on Thursday, November 14, 2019, at approximately 1:30 p.m., in the Queen Street West and Ossington Avenue area.

He is described as 6’1”, 170 lbs., with light brown hair, brown eyes, a beard, and uses two assistive canes. He was wearing a yellow sweater, brown coat, and black leather Adidas running shoes.

In September 2001, Daniel Kent was found not criminally responsible for a count of aggravated assault.

He is currently being held under a Form 49 "Warrant of Committal."

If located, do not approach and call 9-1-1 immediately.

An Elopee is a person who is subject to detention at a psychiatric facility and is absent without leave.

A Warrant of Committal is issued by the Ontario Review Board when a person is found Not Criminally Responsible in court. The Warrant of Committal "Disposition of Detention" commits the person to the custody of a provincial psychiatric hospital and subjects them to abide by certain conditions.

CAMH needs to work on their security. I thought they'd fix this since the last elopee with April Burkle.
