Media Release...

The Edmonton Police Service is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 21-year-old man.

Dylan Koshman was reported missing by his girlfriend the evening of October 15th. He was last seen by his roommates shortly after 2 a.m. on Oct. 11 leaving their home near 104 Street and 33 Avenue. He had been drinking and got into an argument with his roommates and was asked to leave. He was last seen walking away from their home wearing only shoes, jeans and a dark-colored t-shirt. There has been no answer on his cell phone, and no activity on his bank account since. Dylan’s family states this kind of behavior is extremely out of character for the 21-year-old, and asks anyone with information on his whereabouts to call the Edmonton Police Service immediately.

He is in very good shape. He has nice teeth, short brown hair, hazel eyes and scars on his left cheek and left eyebrow. He has earrings in both ears.

If you know of Dylan's whereabouts or have information on any crime, please contact Edmonton Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or submit your tip online at www.tipsubmit.com.

Other info: He is from Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. He's been living in Edmonton for about seven months. A few days after he went missing, his wallet was found in a neighbour's yard.

Well - I think they should ask his room mates where he is. I'm pretty sure they know...... So frustrating. With just the little these articles tell you, you know the roommates did something to him. It's the same everytime we hear a husband tell us he had an argument with his wife and then the wife is never seen again.

I hope every roommate is asked to take a polygraph. Then lets see who lawyers up.

Family and friends of Dylan Koshman are scouring the city looking for the missing 21-year-old, hoping for the best, yet fearing the worst.

“There’s a part of me that hopes he’s still alive and safe, but there’s a lot of doubt in there too, which is scary, because he wouldn’t have done this,” said the missing man’s sister, Tara Koshman.

The young man, who arrived from Moose Jaw six months ago to work as a pipefitter, went missing on Oct. 11, after a drunken argument with his cousins.

The fight was minor, with a few harsh words exchanged after the three cousins decided they’d go their separate ways and move away from one another.

He wandered away from his home on 104 Street and 33 Avenue around 2 a.m, wearing jeans and a T-shirt.

Since his disappearance, there has been no activity on his bank account, and he hasn’t picked up his cell phone.

His family insists he’s not suicidal, had an insatiable love for life.
They’re also not ruling out foul play.

“Somebody out there saw something — it’s impossible that nobody saw him,” she said.
His girlfriend, Erin Huff, called police in a panic on Oct. 15, begging for help to find him.
Dozens of friends, family members, and strangers grouped together on Sunday, searching in the forest near his home.

Over the weekend, a lawyer who wishes to remain anonymous offered a $5,000 reward for any information that leads to his safe return.

I should add that his roommates are his cousins. Either way, they should definitely take a polygraph.

Are there any rivers in or through Edmonton?

Yes, the North Saskatchewan River flows through Edmonton. The current population is 752,412, with a metropolitan population of 1,081,300. Edmonton is HUGE - it's larger than Chicago, Toronto, Philadelphia and Montreal. If the searchers decide to expand their search area.. they'd need a lot more people to help cover the area.

Another man went missing the day before Dylan disappeared. Edmonton is known as the murder capital of Canada. There have been 23 murders in 2008, with 30 in the metro region. Because of this, I'm worried that Dylan might have been killed.

With stats like that, maybe I'll back off the "cousins" a bit, huh :(

Wow. I hope he is found. It seems if he sobered up, he would have returned home by now. Either back to where he was from, or back to his cousin's house to get his things at least. The no activity on his debit card is very concerning, especially if he is on foot.

Prayers for him and his family,

Salem

Without a trace: City cops hunting missing locals
'It’s not against the law to go missing'
By MICHELLE THOMPSON, SUN MEDIA

Sun Media reporter Michelle Thompson launches a three-part series on local missing persons cases and the police teams dedicated to finding them.

---

This past year, there have been two high-profile cases that left police baffled: the disappearance of Dylan Koshman, and the alleged murder of Johnny Altinger.

Koshman, meanwhile, hasn’t been seen since leaving his apartment – near 104 Street and 33 Avenue – in a drunken huff, after getting into an argument with his cousin.

Cops said it isn’t clear what fate he might have met.

“I think you have to look at all the possibilities,“ Jenkinson said. “But you have to be realistic about it. The reality is, he’s someone that left in jeans and a T-shirt on Oct. 11.

“You have to start to at least entertain the (unfortunate) possibilities that could be out there.” The young man’s family has plastered the city with photos of their smiling loved one, although not every missing person case has received as much attention.

Search efforts are widening to find a man who wandered off in a south side neighbourhood on Oct. 11 and simply vanished.

An independent non-profit group, Canadian Search and Disaster Dogs Association (CASDDA), has offered to lend a hand in searching for the missing 21-year-old.

No sign of Dylan Koshman

The Edmonton Sun

The hunt for a missing 21-year-old continued deep into wooded areas of southwest Edmonton yesterday.

With some wearing "Dylan Koshman: praying for a safe return" T-shirts, about 50 people scoured a forested area near Aspen Gardens, hoping to find clues into the young man's disappearance.

Known for his hearty laugh and dimpled left cheek, Koshman vanished in the early hours of Oct. 10 after leaving his apartment.

The young man had been drinking. An argument with his roommate prompted him to leave his home, near 104 Street and 33 Avenue, wearing jeans and a T-shirt.

Why are they so sure that this man is unrelated to the murder 8km away that went missing the evening before?

Evans is the third Edmonton man to go missing in recent weeks. Dylan Koshman, 21, was reported missing by his girlfriend on Oct 15 and last seen leaving his cousin's house early in the morning of Oct 11. A few days later his wallet was found in a neighbouring back yard. This morning as people were hearing about Daltyn's disappearance, missing posters of Dylan were being put up.

This article talks about 3 missing persons in a small time frame.

It´s been awhile for a post because unfortunatelly there has been no information on Dylan. It will be 1 year since Dylan´s disappearance in a few days, and we will all be Edmonton again, putting up flyers, and trying to talk with the media. On Sunday we will be holding a candlelight vigil where Dylan went missing.

So, the cousins had a few minor words, and all agreed to move on and to find other places? Tara has stated that they had been drinking and an argument had ensued, Dylan was asked to leave and he stormed out of the house. Not exactly a friendly agreement. Besides, who saw him storming out of the house, and down the alley? The cousins? I hope that the police have questioned these cousins time and time again, because as even his sister has been quoted in newspapers, and on web sites, nothing adds up. She imagines, all types of scenarios of his missing, but none of it adds up or makes any sense. If it doesn't add up then picture a scenario that might make sense.
