This sounds chilling! being 'escorted into a black vehicle' is not what you want to hear!
Did he cross the wrong people?

Full photo. Look at his hands. Gang sign?

Not one that I have ever seen as a gang sign. I worked with gangs for many years. But, they are always changing and evolving as new sets come along, so who knows. You do see that hand gesture often in pics done in the music industry. It isn't to say anything, usually.

Ransom demands made for man abducted outside Rexdale restaurant: police
"Ransom demands made for man abducted outside Rexdale restaurant
Speaking to CP24 on Monday morning, Supt. Ron Taverner said that it appears three suspects were involved in the abduction.

“There was some demands made for money for his return and we believe that money was paid,” Taverner said.

“Unfortunately police were not called until sometime later after those demands were made and we have been actively investigating this. There has been no contact with Jammar or the abductors since that time.”

Police have not said why the suspects may have chosen to target Allison, who has been described as a talented athlete who previously received a soccer scholarship along with his twin brother."

The article is well worth reading in full

To summarize:

Jammar was one of five charged with cocaine trafficking after police seized $350,000 of crack and powder cocaine in what they say was the city's largest-yet crack seizure. They also seized a replica firearm, cash and an asp baton. That was in March 2017.

Last Friday, he was abducted, forced into a black Dodge Caravan outside a restaurant. Three suspects were supposedly involved in the abduction.

There was some demands made for money for his return. "Someone" paid the ransom money, according to police.

He is still missing and there has been no contact with either Jammar or the abductors since then.

Does not look good!

Still no sign of missing man believed abducted despite ransom payment: Toronto police
"A missing 25-year-old man from the city’s west end has still not been heard from even after his family paid a money demand for his safe return, Toronto police say.

Police said in a statement on Sunday that Jammar Allison was last seen on Friday at around 10 p.m. in the Highway 427 and Rexdale Boulevard area.

Investigators said Allison was seen being escorted into a dark Caravan with tinted windows. It allegedly happened outside the restaurant Da House of Jerk, where Allison was a regular customer, a waitress told Global News on Monday."

"Allison was known to police, but Taverner said that it has no bearing on this incident."
"Anyone with information is asked to call police at 416-808-2300 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-8477."

Family of missing man paid ransom, but he didn't return home | CBC News
Police say the family of a missing man paid a ransom for his return, but after a few hours his kidnappers stopped responding. Authorities say they have reason to fear for his safety.
Taverner says police weren't contacted right away. It was only after Allison's family paid an undisclosed ransom and could no longer reach the kidnappers that police were informed.
"We're at a disadvantage not knowing about this right away," said Taverner. "The three men are described as male, black, and wearing dark clothing."
"He's a nice guy; we usually have jovial conversations," said Mahala Williams. "He came with a group … They were eating, everything was fine. They left."
Police have obtained surveillance video of the plaza's parking lot. They were also able to track down the dark vehicle they believe the suspects used, but police say that didn't further the investigation.
In March 2017, Allison was arrested in Thunder Bay during the city's largest crack seizure operation. Toronto police aren't linking the two events.

Where is Jammar Allison and what’s behind his abduction?

Police continue to try sort out the apparent kidnapping of Jammar Allison, 26, of Toronto, a talented soccer player who has also been charged with drug trafficking in Thunder Bay. Friends say Jammar left Da House of Jerk restaurant in Rexdale with a girlfriend Friday night.
