Toronto police looking for man accused of making death threats

Toronto police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man accused of making death threats against several people in the Greater Toronto Area.

Police say an investigation began on Saturday after they were informed about a man who allegedly made numerous threats to kill multiple people.

“The man threatened to use Molotov cocktails, and other various methods to harm people throughout the Greater Toronto Area,” police allege.''

The Toronto Police Service is seeking the public's assistance in locating a wanted man.

On Saturday, June 20, 2020, police were informed to investigate threats made by a man to harm numerous individuals throughout the Greater Toronto Area.

It is alleged that:

- a man has made numerous threats to kill multiple people

- the man threatened to use Molotov cocktails, and other various methods to harm people throughout the Greater Toronto area

Jason Atis, 23, of Toronto, is wanted for:

1. Threatening Death

He is described as 6'2", 215 lbs., with brown hair, and brown eyes.

He is considered armed and dangerous. If he is seen, do not approach, and immediately contact police.''

On Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at 7 a.m., Jason Atis, 23, of no fixed address, surrendered to police at 32 Division. He was arrested and charged with:

1) Mischief Under $5000
2) Unlawfully in a Dwelling
3) Five counts of Threatening

He is scheduled to appear in court at 1000 Finch Avenue West, on Wednesday, June 24, 2020, at 10 a.m., room 306.
