Here is a BBC report about the developments in this case:
Bodies found in Canada hunt for murder suspects
Of course! RCMP and journalists tweeted each day, and WS members commented each day.Monday was a civic holiday in Manitoba, so the weekend was a long weekend. Do we know if any searching was done between Friday and Tuesday?
For whatever reason they went in to the woods, my guess is they became disoriented and that was the beginning of the end for them.

"I’m about 6 km from where Bryer Schmegelsky and Kam McLeod’s bodies were found. It’s too dangerous to get there by foot. A local can be heard in this video describing the area."
Interesting video at the link. Gives some perspective on how difficult this search must have been for the RCMP.
It is such a vast area and the brush so dense. Also the muskeg all over. Literally looking for two needles in a haystack. I am surprised they finally found them. If thy hadn't marked the spot (or close by) with their clothes or whatever, then I doubt they would ever have been located. What about all the officers allocated to the area to search on foot? The ones walking up and down the train tracks and the roads?
What?I mentioned a plane crash in Mayo, Yukon in yesterday's post. Alkan Air is based in Whitehorse, and used to fly to Watson Lake. One passenger died, and hopefully *** had nothing to do with KM/BS in Yukon.
*** female from Vancouver, male pilot from Yukon.
The small jade bear is being sold for $15.99. Not sure I would waste my cash if I was on the run....

What makes you say they survived all that time? For all we know they could have died the same day they burnt out the rav4.
Of course! RCMP and journalists tweeted each day, and WS members commented each day.
Yes, I'm starting to think Bryer must have left something (ie suicide note) why the dad seemed so certain this would end in death. He said RIP Bryer pretty quickly.Just a hunch, but I think RCMP have a great deal of information from the houses, computers, etc. Without a trial, I don't know how much of it will be available to the public.
Makes me wonder if she/they went down to Winnipeg or ?? for the Official Release
I have noticed that our usual good reporter that has been on the ground has been unusually quiet this morning. She hasn't tweeted in 4 hours. Not even about this upcoming news conference.
In real life, these 2 teenagers managed to survive in very hostile terrain, escaping major manhunt for... 3 weeks? I think real survivalists in this case is justified. JMO
They could have been dead in the bush all this time.
I take your humour. I should have clarified that RCMP and journalists tweeted about each day's search. Check out the photos from each day.oh, they tweeted.....
