''The hunter insisted the girl he saw twice yesterday morning was Mrs. Lemay. Stiles said he and a companion last spotted the girl near 40-mile bend in the heart of the ’glades, a mosquito and rattlesnake in-» tested jungle hell of mangrove swamps and lily-choked lakes. Lemay, who thought his wife was "playing games” after she failed to return, later became so hysterical he was placed in a sanitarium. Crying and whimpering incoherently, he was handcuffed and taken to Key West, where authorities questioned him at length.''
